If you're into ultralight gear, you've definitely heard of Big Agnes. Big Agnes keeps pulling new tricks out of its sleeve, constantly testing and refining its products, and the 2025 collection is no exception – Big Agnes introduces a new generation of ultralight tents. Thanks to HyperBead™ technology, they're pushing the boundaries of weight, strength, and sustainability.

## **What's different about the new Big Agnes tent collection?**

The time-tested construction of each tent model (Copper Spur, Tiger Wall, and Fly Creek) stays the same. What Big Agnes brings to these models is **a new, innovative fabric treatment technology** – [**HyperBead™**](https://www.bigagnes.com/pages/hyperbead). According to the manufacturer, this advanced waterproof treatment makes the tents lighter, stronger, and more durable than ever before. HyperBead™ contains no PFAS or other harmful substances, offering a **safer** and **more sustainable** alternative to standard water-repellent treatments, with no negative impact on health or the environment.

Unlike standard DWR treatments, HyperBead™ is impermeable at the molecular level, so it keeps its effectiveness for the tent's entire lifespan. It also stretches less when wet, which helps with better stability and a longer-lasting fabric.

According to the manufacturer, tents with HyperBead™ technology offer, compared to standard materials:

- **6% lower weight** – even lighter ultralight tents,
- **50% higher strength** – better tear resistance,
- **25% higher water resistance** – lasting protection with no need to re-treat.
