# #17 Cesta hrdinů SNP – 770 km along the ridges of Slovakia – Martin Slavík

Cesta hrdinů SNP is a beautiful long-distance route right around the corner at our neighbors'. It's Martin's first love, the one that led him to further big adventures.

Cesta hrdinů SNP (the Trail of the Heroes of the Slovak National Uprising) is a beautiful long-distance route right around the corner from us. It runs from the Dukla Pass in the northeast all the way to Devín Castle on the western border with Austria. The SNP trail is Martin's first love, the one that led him to further big adventures.

By now, Martin has the legendary Pacific Crest Trail, the northern route of Stezka Českem, the TMB, and other long-distance trails under his belt. I was curious which pieces of gear are among his favorites and which ones didn't work out for him, his tricks/hacks for getting by on the trail, his favorite food, and his approach to ultralight.

Listen to a relaxed chat with Martin and enjoy! If you don't want to miss future episodes, follow our podcast on your favorite platform.
