# Gear list for a week-long mountain trek in Tajikistan

A complete gear list for a week-long mountain trek in the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan - David and Míša's kit including tent, sleep system, clothing and accessories, with a base weight of around 7–8 kg.

This gear list was put together for a mountain trek in the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan at the end of summer. The gear is suited to conditions where daytime temperatures can climb quite high, while at night they can easily drop to freezing. A similar kit list works just as well for other high-altitude mountain treks from late spring to early autumn.

It's a full gear list that includes enough spare clothing, a repair kit, rain protection in the form of a quality waterproof jacket and pants, and comfort items like a pillow or a sit pad. Base weight comes in around 7–8 kg, depending on what you count under "worn" (items worn on the body) and consumables. The weight of some items is split between Míša and David.

Tips on how to build your own gear list can be found in our article [A gear list is worth its weight in gold – how to build your ultralight gear list.](/blog/how-to-build-an-ultralight-gear-list)

We used a very similar gear list last year for a nine-day mountain trek in Kyrgyzstan. Take a look at that beauty!
