# Lucie Kutrová's gear list for the Arizona Trail

What did Lucka Kutrová – Holka s Bucket listem – pack for the Arizona Trail? A gear list for a month-long trek through deserts and mountains down to temperatures around freezing.

We'd been following Lucka – aka Holka s Bucket Listem – ever since her Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) thru-hike in 2018. Our paths only crossed a few years later, when we helped her lighten her gear for Stezka Českem, and later for the Arizona Trail and her GR10 crossing through the Spanish Pyrenees.

While we introduced her to the world of ultralight, Lucka returned the favor by convincing us that **color is sometimes just as important as function**. Somewhere along the way a friendship was born – one that not only made her a natural part of the Gramino crew, but also led to a shared month-long polar expedition in winter 2025, when we hiked the entire Kungsleden (470 km).

We can't wait to see what's next for us with Lucka and Marvel 🐻‍❄️ – because **there's never a dull moment with those two**!

## Getting ready for the Arizona Trail

### How Lucka Kutrová described her gear choices:

*"This was seriously tough! I always hike everywhere with a heavy pack, but this time David from Gramino threw a big wrench in my plans. He kitted me out with lightweight gear for Arizona! 😂 Why? So I could move faster and get back to Marvíček 🐻‍❄️ sooner, who stayed home in Czechia. Let me know in the comments what you think of the gear and whether you'd swap anything! 💛"*
