The guest of this episode is Marek Fryš, a mountain rescuer 🚑 in the Krkonoše Mountains and at the same time the spokesperson 📢 of the Czech Mountain Rescue Service. With Marek we went through how the Mountain Rescue Service works and what the everyday work of a mountain rescuer looks like ⛷️. We wanted to know why there are no women 👧 in the Mountain Rescue Service and how the rescuers' work has changed over the past 30 years thanks to technological progress.

The guest of this episode is Marek Fryš, a mountain rescuer in the Krkonoše Mountains and also the spokesperson for the Czech Mountain Rescue Service. With Marek, we talked about how the Mountain Rescue Service works and what a mountain rescuer's everyday work looks like. We wanted to know why there are no women in the Mountain Rescue Service and how rescuers' work has changed over the past 30 years thanks to technological progress.

We also devoted a big part of the podcast to planning and preparing for mountain hikes and treks, which are the alpha 𝛂 and omega Ω of moving safely in the mountains. You'll learn how the Záchranka app works and why it doesn't pay to underestimate the weather. Do you know what you should never be without in your backpack when you head to the mountains? The podcast is full of interesting information and stories from rescue operations.

The podcast was recorded back in winter, so some references to "current" conditions in the mountains relate to the winter season.
