Photographer and mountain guide Teru Menclová decided to hike this route in stages and has over 600 kilometers under her belt so far. She walked solo across all of Slovenia 🇸🇮 from the sea to the Austrian border, where she later picked up the Carnic High Trail 🇦🇹 with her partner and then went on to cross the entire Italian Dolomites 🇮🇹. We talked about things like the pros and cons of hiking long-distance trails in stages, how to prepare for trekking in the Alps, what weather she ran into along the way ⚡, safety in the mountains, and her relationship with ultralight gear 🏕️.
