The tent has 2 doors with spacious vestibules. Its durability, low weight, and compact packing make it a reliable partner for weekend trips and longer hikes. In reviews and American comparison tests, Lanshan tents are rated as some of the best in their price category. The latest version for 2026 brings a number of improvements mainly aimed at enhancing the tent's durability and lifespan. ## What makes the product special? Ultralight single-wall tent for 2 people, set up on trekking poles. ## Specifications The 3F UL Gear Lanshan 2 Pro tent, with its simple yet well-thought-out design, is one of the popular ultralight models in its price range. The tent is set up using 2 trekking poles and offers a single-wall construction – the mosquito net is permanently stitched to the rainfly, which fully protects the inside of the tent from insects and bad weather. Single-wall tents save weight, but they may suffer more from condensation. If you prefer a double-wall tent, check out [3F UL Gear Lanshan 2 (2026)](/p/3f-ul-gear-lanshan-2). For better air circulation, there are vents above the doors and slightly cut bottom edges of the rainfly. The tent has 2 separate doors with vestibules, providing plenty of space for cooking or storing gear. The doors are fully openable thanks to the T-shaped zipper. The tent is spacious enough for 2 people, even for taller folks (interior dimensions 230 x 120 cm, height 125 cm). The latest version of the tent for 2026 brings several improvements. The classic zipper with a protective flap has been replaced with a waterproof zipper, plastic hooks have been swapped out for metal ones, and the most stressed areas have been reinforced with a sturdier 20D UHMWPE Grid Nylon material. Thanks to these changes, the tent is more durable against bad weather and wear and tear. Because the parts at the head and feet are most exposed to condensation, there are now solid nylon panels placed at both ends of the tent, which help reduce condensation transfer to your sleeping bag. You can optionally cut off both panels, saving you about 20 grams. In reviews and American comparative tests (e.g., [Section Hiker,](https://sectionhiker.com/best-ultralight-backpacking-tents-under-300/) [Clever Hiker](https://www.cleverhiker.com/backpacking/best-ultralight-tarps-and-tents/#3F-UL-Gear)and [Backpacker](https://www.backpacker.com/gear/tents/best-ultralight-tents/). Lanshan tents are considered some of the best in their price range. ## Materials and Construction The rainfly of the tent is constructed from 20D SilPoly material (weight 38 g/m², water column 2 000 mm). Polyester, unlike nylon, doesn't absorb water as much, so the tent doesn't sag as much in the rain. It's a fabric with a double-sided silicone coating that enhances fiber strength, reduces surface absorbency, and improves resistance to UV rays. Because of this, the seams aren't taped like with regular tents, since they don't stick to the siliconeized surface. You'll need to coat the seams with silicone adhesive/coating from the outside before use. You can use, for example, [Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil 28g](/p/gear-aid-seam-grip-sil-28-g). The 15D nylon mesh ensures air circulation and minimizes condensation while providing good protection against insects. The footprint is made of durable 20D nylon with a PU coating and a water column of 6 000 mm. The raised edges of the footprint (the so-called bathtub cut) protect against water runoff and moisture from the ground. A total of 14 most stressed areas are reinforced with UHMWPE fabric, which combines low weight with exceptional strength and resistance to wear and tear. The YKK zippers and metal Duraflex buckles used guarantee long-lasting durability even with frequent use. The tent construction isn't freestanding since it relies on two trekking poles that are 120–125 cm tall. You can also hang the tops from a sturdy branch or another structure. The shape of the tent handles the wind well, while the eight anchor points and four guy points boost stability and allow for proper tensioning of the rainfly. ## Parameters - Tent type: three-season, non-freestanding, single-wall - Total weight: 1034 g (of which 98 g stakes, 36 g stuff sack) - Number of people: 2 - Number of doors / vestibules: 2 - Packed size: 34 x 15 cm - Tent dimensions (footprint): 230 x 120 cm - Maximum height of the tent: 125 cm - Height of the inner tent floor bathtub: 11 cm - Floor area: 2,76 m² - Vestibule area: 2 x 0,8 m² The package includes a tent, stakes (8 pcs), guy lines (4 pcs), repair patches for the tent floor (2 pcs), and a stuff sack.
