The Big Agnes String Ridge VST 2.5 pitches with **3 trekking poles**, so you save the weight of standard poles. The tent is designed **for 2 people** and has **2 side doors with spacious vestibules**. The asymmetric design makes the best use of the interior space – a comfortable spot to lie down even with 2 wide sleeping pads, plus **extra "half" space** lengthwise for tall people with an extended pad, for stashing your backpack and gear, or for a dog. The tent can also be pitched with 2 trekking poles, though you'll then need to tension one side with the vent window using a cord, which reduces ventilation. Big Agnes calls the tent's construction **hybrid single/double-wall**. In practice, though, it's a classic single-wall tent with an integrated mosquito net and floor, which also has a larger **mesh vent panel** on one wall under the trekking pole support to reduce condensation.
