## Description

A very popular ultralight three-season tent for 2 people from the American brand Big Agnes. This is one of the most used tents on long-distance trails like the AT, PCT, and CDT. The tent has 2 doors, 2 vestibules, and a beautiful weight of 992 grams. The tent material is now equipped with the innovative HyperBead™ technology, making it even lighter, stronger, and more waterproof.

## What makes this product special?

Ultralight three-season tent for 1–2 people with two doors and vestibules.

## Features

The new Tiger Wall tent models for 2025 feature the **innovative HyperBead™ technology**, which improves material strength, increases waterproofing, and simultaneously reduces weight (more info below).

The tent has **two side doors with spacious vestibules** for storing gear. The rainfly is equipped with **two zipper sliders and a storm flap** with Velcro. Setting it up both day and night is easier thanks to **reflective guy lines** and color-coded elements of the tent. Inside the tent, you'll find **loops** for connecting gear lofts and other gear.

The tent construction is easier thanks to the thoughtful **TipLok Tent Buckle™** at the corners of the tent, which has three functions: securing the pole structure, tensioning and attaching the rainfly to the tent body, and staking out.

Setting up and taking down the tent is quick and easy, thanks to the **single-pole construction** made from the lightweight and durable DAC Featherlite aluminum pole.

A great thing about the Tiger Wall is all the **storage space**. You’ll find the biggest pocket (the so-called 3D bin) at the top, two smaller pockets at the entrance, and the last pocket is located above your head. It has holes in the corners specifically for those who love to listen to music – you can put your phone in the top pocket and run your headphone cable through the hole.

The pole runs through the center at your feet, so the back wall stays nicely taut in the middle, which creates **more usable space in the foot area** and lowers the chances of your sleeping bag footbox sticking to the wet rainfly from condensation.

To ensure better air ventilation and reduce potential condensation, there’s a **vent** located above the vestibule door. We also recommend using the zipper sliders on the rainfly at the entrance. With two zippers, you can partially open the zipper from the bottom and the top. Keeping the inner tent doors open is easy with the **Quick Stash holder**.

To ensure extra stability, there are Velcro straps on the inner side of the rainfly, which you can use to connect the rainfly to the frame.

You can also use the tent in **Fast Fly** mode, where you leave the tent body (inner tent) at home and head out with just the frame, rainfly, and stakes. This way, you'll get to an awesome weight of **765 grams**. But you'll need [**original footprint**](/p/big-agnes-tiger-wall-ul2-footprint-2025), which is not included in the package. The footprint will also extend the life of the tent body. Alternatively, we recommend using at least [Tyvek](/p/tyvek-groundsheet-250-x-150-cm).

With the tent, you'll get a handy compression **EZ Pack Stuff Sack**, featuring a large longitudinal opening and a compression closure for easy and quick packing.

## HyperBead™ technology

For ultralight tents in 2025, Big Agnes is bringing you a **new innovative material treatment technology** – **HyperBead™**. Thanks to this advanced **waterproof** treatment, the tents are **lighter**, **stronger**, and **more** **durable** than ever before. HyperBead™ is free from PFAS and other harmful substances, offering a safer and more sustainable alternative to standard water-repellent treatments without negative impacts on health and the environment.

Compared to regular materials, tents with HyperBead™ technology have:

- **6 % lower weight** – even lighter ultralight tents,
- **50 % higher strength** – better tear resistance,
- **25 % higher water resistance** – permanent protection without the need for reproofing.

Unlike regular DWR treatments, HyperBead™ is impermeable at the molecular level, so it retains its effectiveness throughout the entire lifespan of the tent. At the same time, it stretches less when exposed to moisture, which contributes to better stability and a longer lifespan of the material.

## Materials and construction

- **Rainfly/footprint** – patented HyperBead™ technology; recycled 15D nylon ripstop with a 1500mm water column, without added PFAS
- **Inner tent** – breathable recycled 15D nylon ripstop and polyester mesh
- **Poles** – DAC Featherlite NFL
- **Waterproof** **seams** – solvent-free polyurethane tape (contains no PVC or VOCs). **All seams are taped**, so you won't have to deal with any extra seam sealing or anything like that.
- **Stakes** – 9 x 6” Dirt Dagger™ UL Stakes (length 15 cm)
- The tent is **semi-freestanding**. That means it can stand on its own without being staked down, but to keep the bottom at the foot area taut, you need to weigh it down or peg it down.
- The tent construction is **simple** and **intuitive**.
