## Description

Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil is a product for easy sealing of seams on tents and tarps with silicone coating. The package includes a small brush for easy application of the product.

Sealing agent for easy sealing of seams on silicone-coated fabrics.

## Specifications

Seams on fabrics with silicone coating (ultralight tents, tarps) cannot be taped with sealing tape because available sealing tapes do not adhere to the silicone surface. The seams are sewn with threads containing a certain percentage of cotton, which swells in humidity and blocks the needle holes.

If the rainfly is excessively tightened, it may cause the holes from the puncture to reopen, and then the seam will let water through. Therefore, it is recommended to coat the seams on silicone-treated fabrics with a sealing agent that is permanently flexible. One such sealing agent is Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil. It prevents water from penetrating through the seam and is permanently flexible.

## Instructions for use

Apply the product directly from the tube (or with a brush) to a clean, dry surface, over the threads and into the folds. Apply only in a thin layer. If the surface needs to be degreased, using isopropyl alcohol is ideal. The layer needs to be allowed to dry, which takes 3-6 hours at room temperature. Before folding the fabric, make sure the applied layer is no longer sticky.

You can find a complete instruction inside the package.

## Safety Information

S2 – Keep out of reach of children. The product is not classified as hazardous.
