## Description

The Liteway Simplex Max Tarp is an ultralight tarp designed for 1-2 people who prioritize low weight and small packed size. The tarp is made from siliconized polyester and features an asymmetrical design with a wider front and narrower back. There are Line-loc tensioners in the corners for easy setup and tensioning of the tarp.

Ultralight simple tarp for one or two people.

## Specifications

The Liteway Simplex Max Tarp focuses on a **minimalist design**, **low weight**, and **excellent packability**. Despite its impressive area of 5 m², it weighs only **245 g**.

Its curved cut reduces weight, and the **asymmetrical shape** **allows for** **versatile pitching options**, including a classic A-frame or a half-pyramid. It easily adapts to conditions and your needs, no matter where you are. The tarp features **8 Line-Loc tensioners**, which provide easy and effective tension adjustment.

The Simplex Max Tarp is best suited for an individual looking for a spacious yet lightweight tarp or for two people who prioritize ultralight gear.

## Technical parameters:

- Materials: 1,1 oz Silpoly 20D Ripstop 2000 mm, WJ linelock.
- Weight: 245 g / with paracord and stuff sack 290 g.
- Size: length 274 cm / width front 240 cm / width back 160 cm
- Area: 5,0 m2
- Complete set: Simplex Max Tarp, UHMW PE guy lines, stuff sack.

The manufacturer has chosen polyester instead of the more commonly used nylon (polyamide) found in most ultralight tents. The reason is that **polyester does not sag as much when wet** and **absorbs less water**, allowing it to **dry faster**.

**Warning, the seams are** **not taped**! Since the tent is made from siliconized polyester, it cannot be sealed with standard polyurethane seam tape used in most tents (it won’t adhere to a silicone-treated surface). Instead, you must seal the seams manually before use. This can be done using [Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil 28g](/p/gear-aid-seam-grip-sil-28-g) or by creating a DIY seam sealant using sanitary silicone mixed with white spirit (in a ratio of approximately 1:2, with a consistency similar to oil).

[Tent stakes](/c/sleep/stakes-and-guy-lines) are not included in the package. You will need at least 6 stakes for setup, but it is better to be equipped with at least 8 stakes.
