## What makes this product exceptional?

Ultralight, spacious shelter for one person.

Silpoly 20D Ripstop fabric, 2 000 mm water column, rectangular shape with a curved cut, dimensions 274 x 190 cm, area 5,2 m², seamless construction, 8 tie-out points with WJ linelock tensioners, UHMW PE guy lines and a stuff sack included in the package

## Specifications

The Liteway Simplex Tarp XL is an ultralight shelter designed for one person. **Its seamless construction** contributes to the durability and lifespan of the shelter and also minimizes water intrusion. The tarp offers a generous **coverage area of 5,2 m²**, yet it still keeps an extremely low **weight of just 235 g**.

The rectangular shape and curved cut let you **pitch the tarp in several configurations** – from a classic A-frame to a half-pyramid, so it easily adapts to the terrain. For quick setup and effective tensioning, all **8 tie-out points** are equipped with WJ linelock tensioners and high-strength UHMW PE lines. To make tensioning the guy lines easier and to protect your trekking poles, we recommend using the [Liteway Pole Pocket](/p/liteway-pole-pocket).

The Simplex Tarp XL is ideal for an individual looking for **reliable protection, a huge amount of space, and the lowest possible weight**.

## Technical parameters:

- **Materials**: 1,1 oz Silpoly 20D Ripstop 2000 mm, WJ linelock
- **Weight**: 235 g / with paracord and stuff sack 280 g
- **Size**: 274 cm x 190 cm
- **Area**: 5,2 m²
- **Complete set**: Simplex Tarp XL, UHMW PE guy lines, stuff sack.

Here the manufacturer went with polyester instead of the traditional nylon (polyamide) found in most ultralight tents. The reason is that **wet polyester doesn't sag as much and doesn't absorb as much water, which is also why it dries faster**.

[Stakes](/c/sleep/stakes-and-guy-lines) aren't included in the package. You'll need at least six stakes to pitch the tarp, but it's better to come equipped with at least eight.
