Thanks to a tougher material, this generation brings a major step up in mechanical durability while keeping minimal bulk and top-tier packability. A reliable, minimalist, and well-fitting piece. ## What makes this product special? A men's ultralight waterproof jacket for fast and efficient movement in the mountains. waterproof jacket, 2.5-layer Pertex Shield 40D ripstop material, 20 000 mm water column, breathability 20 000 g/m²/24h, protective print on the inside, YKK AquaGuard Natulon main zipper, PIVOT 1 hood with integrated peak, zippered chest pocket, reflective elements, elastic sleeve cuffs, hem drawcord, close fit, taped seams, PFC-free DWR, weight 237 g ## Specifications The Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) is an upgraded version of the popular [Minimus Lite Jacket](/p/montane-womens-minimus-lite-jacket). Thanks to its truly **low weight** and **perfect packability**, you'll barely notice it in your backpack, and it will become a permanent part of your mountain gear. The new version of the jacket is made from **2.5-layer Pertex® Shield material** with balanced **waterproofing** (20 000 mm) and **breathability** (20 000 g/m²/24h) ratings. Thanks to the outer **ripstop fabric** (tear-resistant) with a density of **40 denier** (40D), you don't need to worry about contact with your backpack or rocks. The inside is finished with a **protective print** that feels pleasant against the skin. Thanks to the change in material, the jacket is **more durable**, while still keeping its low weight. The jacket's construction was optimized to include as few seams as possible. This not only reduces weight but also increases the material's overall **breathability and flexibility**. The main **YKK AQUAGUARD® NATULON®** zipper is made from recycled materials and is backed by an internal wind- and water-blocking flap. This jacket's main strength is its **truly low weight and great packability**, combined with **higher mechanical durability**. That makes it a great partner for **shorter as well as really long ultralight treks, travel, and mountain running**. ## **Features** - Easily adjustable **PIVOT 1 hood** with an integrated peak. - Recycled **main zipper** YKK AQUAGUARD® NATULON®, water-resistant and eco-friendly. - One easily accessible **chest pocket** **with a zipper**. - **Running-specific reflective elements** ensure visibility at dusk and in the dark. - Reduced seams for higher durability, lower weight, and better breathability. - The top end of the main front zipper **is covered with fabric** for safety. - At the end of the sleeves, an **elastic cuff.** - **The hem drawcord** prevents heat loss. - **Close fit** designed for fast movement and high performance. - **Carefully taped internal seams** underline the jacket's excellent waterproofing. - **PFC-free DWR water-repellent treatment**. ## Parameters - Weight (size S): 237 g - Material: PERTEX® SHIELD 2.5L – recycled 40D ripstop fabric with a waterproof, windproof, and breathable membrane - Fabric construction: 2.5-layer - Zipper type: YKK AquaGuard® - Waterproofing: 20 000 mm - Breathability: 20 000 g/m²/24h - Recommended load: around 10 kg - Usage: fastpacking, trail running, ultralight trekking ### Our experiences When packing for shorter trips, we often hesitate over whether to bring our classic (heavier and harder-to-pack) waterproof jacket, or leave it at home. We won't lie – the forecast has flipped 180 degrees on us more than once, and we later regretted not having a waterproof jacket with us. With the Minimus's weight and perfect packability, this dilemma is pretty much gone, because **you'll barely notice it in your backpack**. Unlike heavy waterproof jackets, you won't mind carrying it along, even if you don't end up using it. It'll become a permanent part of your gear. We had the [Minimus Jacket](/p/montane-mens-minimus-jacket) (original version) with us **on our Iceland crossing back in 2017**, where they really proved their worth. ### **Our recommendation** Since this is an ultralight 2.5-layer piece, **it's not a good idea to wear the jacket long-term under a heavy backpack** (above roughly 10 kg). This could quickly wear out the material at the shoulders. For a heavier backpack, we recommend choosing a waterproof jacket with a 3-layer construction instead. Definitely **don't forget to wash the jacket** with a suitable detergent ([Atsko Sport Wash 1000 ml](/p/atsko-sport-wash-1000-ml)) – this will extend its lifespan. Salt, sweat, and dirt can reduce the performance and lifespan of ultralight materials and waterproof membranes. ## Specs - Color: Eclipse Blue, Lava - Clothing size: L, M, XL, S - Jacket type: Waterproof, Windproof - Sex: Men - Material: Pertex® Shield - Material composition: 100 % nylon - Water column: 20,000 mm - Breathability: 20,000 g/m²/24 hod - Weight: 237 g - Woocommerce product id: 191700 - Brand: Montane ## Variants - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Eclipse Blue, M · SKU MMLIJECLM21 · EAN 5056601096541 · €157.60 · In stock · M, Eclipse Blue - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Eclipse Blue, L · SKU MMLIJECLN21 · EAN 5056601096558 · €157.60 · In stock · L, Eclipse Blue - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Lava, M · SKU MMLIJLAVM21 · EAN 5056601096664 · €157.60 · In stock · M, Lava - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Lava, L · SKU MMLIJLAVN21 · EAN 5056601096671 · €157.60 · In stock · L, Lava - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Eclipse Blue, S · SKU MMLIJECLB21 · EAN 5056601096534 · €157.60 · In stock · Eclipse Blue, S - Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Eclipse Blue, XL · SKU MMLIJECLX21 · EAN 5056601096565 · €157.60 · In stock · Eclipse Blue, XL - Montane Men’s Minimus Lite Jacket (2026) - Lava, XL · SKU MMLIJLAVX21 · EAN 5056601096688 · €157.60 · In stock · Lava, XL ## Related - [Montane Minimus Jacket](/p/montane-mens-minimus-jacket.md) - [Montane Dart Lite Long Sleeve T-Shirt](/p/montane-mens-dart-lite-long-sleeve-t-shirt.md) - [Montane Dart Lite T-Shirt](/p/montane-mens-dart-lite-t-shirt.md) - [Montane Protium Hoodie](/p/montane-mens-protium-hoodie.md) - [Montane Dart T-Shirt](/p/montane-mens-dart-t-shirt.md) - [Montane Dart Long Sleeve T-Shirt](/p/montane-mens-dart-long-sleeve-t-shirt.md) - [Montane Alpine 850 Lite Hoodie](/p/montane-mens-alpine-850-lite-hoodie.md) - [Montane Dart Zip Neck T-Shirt](/p/montane-mens-dart-zip-neck.md) ## Shipping and returns - [Shipping and payment](/shipping-payment) - [Returns](/return-order) ## Images - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-1-01KWZ5GCJJ6TW2F0ACXF7F5PK6.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-2-01KWZ5GCW7J262SBAWGF3RVXXR.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-3-01KWZ5GD5VS3BY3FC0TAPH2MKA.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-4-6089-429d-af06-8fb6aed64783-01KWZ5GDDNX2HWFQ35W5WAX0GV.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-6-fe37-409f-9997-d6e6700eb88f-01KWZ5GDP1YGSB7WMSV1E9MH93.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-7-32e3-4839-8953-339328253776-01KWZ5GE09ZXTN8NR2NASBQGVJ.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-8-0887-4db9-aa0f-dab547376254-01KWZ5GE7GS40WC53XTX0F9MR6.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Mens-Minimus-Lite-Jacket-2026-Lava-5-60b6-43ba-8ae6-d879e9b1dcc0-01KWZ5GEFWE87JB0WZN3JPSGE0.jpg) ## Identifiers - SKU: MMLIJECLM21 - EAN: 5056601096541 - Handle: montane-mens-minimus-lite-jacket-2026 - Brand: Montane This product is also available as [HTML](/p/montane-mens-minimus-lite-jacket-2026).
