They're an ideal choice for steep ascents, climbing, and multi-day crossings, where you need reliable protection against wind and rain along with high mechanical durability. The pants have plenty of practical pockets, a lowered waist that doesn't dig in under a backpack or harness, and several other handy features. ## What makes this product special? Highly durable technical softshell pants designed for demanding mountain terrain. Granite Flex material (88% recycled nylon, 12% elastane), PFC-free DWR water-repellent treatment, low-profile waist with integrated cinching and a metal buckle, ergonomically cut knees and crotch, 2 zip pockets with YKK® NATULON® zippers, side zip pocket compatible with a harness, back zip pocket, YKK® NATULON® fly zip, weight 370 g (size M) ## Montane Tenacity Pants (2026) A new, improved version of the [Tenacity Pants](/p/montane-mens-tenacity-pants) from [Montane](/b/montane). Thanks to the updated material, they're even more **abrasion-resistant**, so they'll hold up even through the most demanding climbing or trekking. Another new feature is the **lowered waist**, which makes wearing a backpack or harness much more comfortable. The pants weigh just **370 g (size M)**, so your backpack will be a little lighter again. If you're after something even lighter, more packable, and softer, check out the [Montane Volantis Pants](/p/montane-mens-volantis-pants). The pants are made from **breathable, windproof GRANITE Flex material** (88% recycled nylon, 12% elastane), which offers very high mechanical durability while still providing the breathability and stretch you need. The **fluorocarbon-free DWR** surface treatment provides basic water repellency in damp weather. The pants use what's called a **Mountain fit**, designed for layering clothing and for movement in demanding mountain terrain. Combined with shaped knees and a newly designed crotch gusset, this ensures the pants won't restrict you even during high steps or technical sections. Innovation has also been applied to the **low-profile waist**, designed so it doesn't dig in under a backpack's hip belt or a climbing harness. The waist circumference can be easily adjusted with the integrated cinching. The pants have plenty of **practical pockets** – two hand pockets with YKK® NATULON® zippers, a side zip pocket (compatible with a harness), and a back zip pocket. You can narrow or widen the leg opening circumference at the hem **using the zip.** ## Specifications - **Weight** **(size M)**: 370 g - **Sizes**: M (32), L (34), XL (36), XXL (38) - **Material:** Granite Flex (88% nylon, 12% elastane) - Breathable and **highly abrasion-resistant** - **DWR treatment** (PFC-free) - **Lower waist** for comfortable wear with a backpack or harness - **Integrated belt** with a metal buckle for precise waist size adjustment - Ergonomically cut knees and crotch for active movement - **Pockets**: two hand pockets with YKK® NATULON® zippers, a side zip pocket (compatible with a harness), a back zip pocket - YKK® NATULON® fly zip ## Specs - Color: Black - Clothing size: L, M, XXL, XL - Sex: Men - Material: Granite Flex s DWR - Material composition: 88 % nylon, 12 % elastane - Weight: 370 g - Woocommerce product id: 191941 - Brand: Montane ## Variants - Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026) - Black, M · SKU MTCPRBLAM21 · EAN 5056601093151 · €129.30 · In stock · Black, M - Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026) - Black, XL · SKU MTCPRBLAX21 · EAN 5056601093175 · €129.30 · In stock · Black, XL - Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026) - Black, XXL · SKU MTCPRBLAZ21 · EAN 5056601093182 · €129.30 · In stock · Black, XXL - Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026) - Black, L · SKU MTCPRBLAN21 · EAN 5056601093168 · €129.30 · In stock · Black, L ## Related - [Montane Men's Minimus Lite Jacket (2026)](/p/montane-mens-minimus-lite-jacket-2026.md) - [Turbat Prut Pro Mns](/p/turbat-prut-pro-mns.md) - [Montane Dynamic Nano Pants](/p/montane-mens-dynamic-nano-pants.md) - [Patizon Merino T-shirt LS Man](/p/patizon-merino-t-shirt-ls-man.md) - [Darn Tough Men's Hiker Micro Crew Midweight](/p/darn-tough-hiker-micro-crew-midweight-mens.md) - [Turbat Prut Trek Mns](/p/turbat-prut-trek-mns.md) - [Patizon G 400](/p/patizon-g400.md) - [Montane Men's Volantis Pants](/p/montane-mens-volantis-pants.md) ## Shipping and returns - [Shipping and payment](/shipping-payment) - [Returns](/return-order) ## Images - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-2-01KX17T24SKA5MVZF9A2HXR2KH.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-3-01KX17T2DEFSQ7QD8FQSK31GK7.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-4-01KX17T2NSEG63ZYDHFA0DB2PH.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-5-1-01KX17T2ZJ1V96BBB44QY085NT.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-6-01KX17T3CTM1FMHKB3NBGTG232.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-7-01KX17T3S2BFTTWABEJAJY6PQ6.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane-Tenacity-Pants-2026-Black-8-01KX17T4B05JVE6NRTYR10SGX4.jpg) - ![Montane Men's Tenacity Pants (2026)](https://media.gramino.com/medusa/Montane%20Men's%20Tenacity%20Softshell%20Pants%20Black-01M2044Z96T4X5P05RKBHE3AHH.jpg) ## Identifiers - SKU: MTCPRBLAM21 - EAN: 5056601093151 - Handle: montane-mens-tenacity-pants-2026 - Brand: Montane This product is also available as [HTML](/p/montane-mens-tenacity-pants-2026).
