## Description

Flex Capacitor is a versatile backpack that you can adjust between 60 and 80 liters using the side straps. For its weight, it really has awesome load-carrying capacity and durability, plus it boasts a ton of features and a whole bunch of pockets. It’s perfect for a variety of adventures – from big expeditions to winter crossings.

Durable backpack with an adjustable capacity of 60–80 liters for expeditions and long trips.

## Usage

You'll really appreciate the versatility, higher load capacity, and durability of this backpack, especially if you're just stepping into the world of Ultralight Backpacking. The backpack has an **adjustable volume from 60 to 80 liters**, so if you don't have compact, easily packable, and lightweight gear yet, everything will still fit comfortably. Plus, you won’t have to worry about whether you can cram enough food supplies in there for a week or more. You can also use this backpack for bigger expeditions or winter crossings when you need more bulky gear. It's **perfect for anyone whose adventures are pretty diverse**.

The backpack has great carrying capacity compared to other backpacks of similar weight/volume. Even though the manufacturer doesn't state an upper limit for the load, we loaded a smaller backpack from the previous collection with a volume of 40–60 liters multiple times over 20 kg and it handled it just fine. This one will hold even a bit more! You can check out our short video introduction of the earlier model [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zLFjuDQIds).

## Pockets, wherever you look

The backpack has a total of **9 external pockets**.

- Two smaller pockets on the shoulder straps with elastic drawstrings – perfect for your phone, a small water bottle, or a quick snack.
- Two larger zippered pockets on the hip belt – perfect for your power bank, quick snacks, and things you want to have handy during the day but also securely stored.
- Two spacious side pockets made of stretchy mesh material – for a big water bottle, a sit pad, or maybe a down jacket with a raincoat.
- Two more spacious mesh pockets on the sides of the backpack – they’ll be perfect for your tent or tarp, food supplies, or other bulkier essentials you want to have easily accessible.
- One big pocket in the lid secured with a zipper and a small carabiner to prevent loss – for valuable little things like your headlamp or keys, toothbrush, documents.

## **More features**

### **Versatile pocket for hydration bladder**

Inside the backpack, there's a removable lightweight pocket for a hydration bladder that you can easily take out using the plastic snaps and, together with the horizontal compression straps of the backpack, transform it into a minimalist daypack for a short jaunt off the trail, a dash to the summit, or even a little pack for your kid to feel independent.

### **Main U-shaped zipper**

Thanks to the ergonomic shape of the main compartment zipper, getting to your stuff is not only easy but also super spacious. The robustness of the zipper might reliably scare off some ultralight extremists, but it guarantees a long life even with less delicate handling. The zipper is also covered with a storm flap for better weather resistance.

## Materials and Construction

The body of the backpack is made from a sufficiently durable fabric featuring a characteristic honeycomb pattern, **100D Nylon Honeycomb**. The bottom part of the backpack, which comes into contact with the ground, is even made of a fabric that's about 4x more durable, **420D Nylon Oxford**. The shoulder straps and hip belt are padded with dense foam that feels pretty firm at first, but it'll soften up a bit with use. The back section consists of separate padding under your shoulder blades and lower back. In other areas, you don't actually touch the back of the backpack at all, which allows for airflow and significantly reduces sweating on your back.

The volume of the backpack expands sideways, so the center of gravity of the load doesn't rise up but stays close to your body's center of gravity. The backpack is reinforced with a **Y-shaped aluminum frame** that's connected to the hip belt. Overall, the load in the backpack carries really nicely and sits great on your back.

The weight of the M/L size backpack is 1400 g + 50 g for the hydration bladder pouch. The minimum dimensions of the backpack are 70 x 22 x 30,5 cm.
