The women's Pursuit 3 model is built around a durable, breathable upper, a Vibram® Megagrip outsole with excellent grip, and a zero drop that encourages a natural landing. ## What makes this product special? An upgraded version of the breathable shoe with a wide toe box and zero drop. Great for hiking, running, and long-distance treks. ## Topo Pursuit 3 The new generation of the **Pursuit 3** builds on the popular zero-drop foundation but brings key upgrades in durability and practicality. The main new feature is the **redesigned upper made from recycled mesh**, which is now much tougher and better protected in high-wear areas without losing any breathability. Another great improvement is the switch to a **universal hook-and-loop gaiter attachment system**, which lets you easily clip on most common trail gaiters (check out the [Tidy Gear Gaiters](/p/tidy-gear-gaiters), for example). What stays the same is what matters: the 28 mm-thick **ZipFoam™** cushioning layer and the top-tier **Vibram® Megagrip** outsole, which keeps you steady even on wet rock. Overall comfort is rounded out by the **non-absorbent insoles** **FKT Insole**, which wick away moisture instantly and dry very quickly after rain or wading. Thanks to its **zero drop**, the shoe encourages a natural landing pattern and improves stability. If you usually wear shoes with a higher drop, we recommend transitioning gradually so your muscles and tendons can adjust to the new movement pattern. If you'd rather stick with a trail shoe that has some drop, check out the [**Terraventure 5**](/p/topo-athletic-terraventure-5-wide-womens) or [**MTN Racer 4**](/p/topo-athletic-mtn-racer-4-womens). ## Features - wide, roomy toe box - durable, breathable upper - drop: 0 mm - stack height (cushioning) at forefoot: 28 mm - stack height (cushioning) at heel: 28 mm - ZipFoam™ memory foam midsole - water-resistant FKT Insole - grippy outsole with Vibram® Megagrip - gaiter attachment compatibility - weight: 244 g (single shoe, size 38 EU) - intended use: hiking, running, trail running ## Our experience Despite its relatively low weight – 244 grams in size 38 EU – this is no fragile slipper. The Pursuit is **an honest trail shoe with a solid tread pattern**, that can take a beating and keep you steady on the trail. A few of us on the **Gramino team (David, Míša, and Barča) have sworn by Topo trail shoes for the past several years**. We've put Topo Athletic shoes to the test on a number of treks: - **lighter winter crossings** combined with waterproof [DexShell](/b/dexshell) socks, - **a mountain trek in Kyrgyzstan**, which mainly involved moving through dusty, rocky terrain and scree fields, - Barča covered a stretch of the Pacific Crest Trail in these Topo trail shoes in 2025. They've proven themselves in every case, so we're thrilled to be able to welcome them into our lineup at Gramino.
