Whether she's walking long-distance trails with her trail partner Sarah, working as a guide, or climbing mountain giants – she throws herself into everything with maximum commitment and a smile. ## Pavlína Adam We teamed up with Pája in February 2023 on a shared polar expedition in Sweden. Her travel history and her ability to talk for hours about, say, a poop trowel earned her a rightful place in our Gramino family. **When this girl gets into something, she definitely goes all in and does it properly.** ### Where can you find her? - [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/pavlina_adam/) ### What's her main travel motto? *"When the bad idea is the only idea, it becomes the best idea."* [Holky napříč Nepálem – Pavlína Adam](/p/kniha-holky-napric-nepalem-pavlina-adam.md) ### What are her biggest travel achievements? **2025 – Kazakhstan – exploring the Tian Shan mountains** No trails, finding your own routes, fording glacial rivers. **2024 – Polar expedition on Lake Khövsgöl, Mongolia – 150 km** A cosy little holiday in temperatures below -30 °C. Terrifyingly cracking ice, nowhere to warm up or dry your clothes. **2023 – Broad Peak (8 051 m a.s.l.) – Pakistan** What kind of mountain life would it be if Pavlína and her trail partner Sarah hadn't also tried an eight-thousander. She did have to turn back after a night at 7 000 m a.s.l., but she still says it was worth it. **2023 – Cordillera Real High Traverse – Bolivia – 132 km** Heading for places where nobody else goes – that's Pája's style too. One of the least explored ranges she has crossed so far. No paths, no people, just fifteen 5 000m peaks (+/- 200 m) over 132 km. **2023 – Project 6x6x6 – Chile** Even climbing six six-thousanders in six days is no problem at all for the hiking duo (Pavlína and Sarah). They pulled off this project of their own in the second driest place on Earth – Chile's Atacama Desert. **2023 – Ojos del Salado (6 890 m a.s.l.) – Chile** That year Pavlína and Sarah swapped horizontal kilometers for vertical ones. And where else would they start than in South America, on the highest volcano in the world. **2022 – Jordan Trail – Jordan – 675 km** After the monsoons in the Himalayas, Pája and Sarah went to warm up a bit in the parched Jordanian desert with the Bedouins. **2022 – Great Himalaya Trail – Nepal – 1 700 km** Cross the whole Nepali Himalaya in the monsoon? Not a problem for Pavlína and her friend Sarah either. And as she says herself – you can be the first in the world at all sorts of things. And Pája became the first Czech woman to walk this trail end to end! **2022 – Polar expedition ACT – Greenland – 165 km** Crossing Greenland's Arctic Circle Trail in summer would be a piece of cake for an experienced hiker like Pavlína. So she went for a winter expedition instead, to make the trail experience far more intense. **2021 – Pacific Crest Trail – USA – 4 300 km** The PCT was Pája's first long-distance trail and also love at first sight. Since then, things will apparently never be the same again, and she looks for new challenges around every corner – as her long list of kilometers walked (both horizontal and vertical) proves.
