You'd have to look a long time to find a crazier pair of adventurers. Wherever they can, they go on foot – and they come up with plenty of mad challenges along the way. ## Who are the Vagabundi? The Vagabundi – by their full names Lubomír Svoboda and Roman Vojvodík (whom nobody calls anything but Banán these days) – have been on the road almost non-stop since they came of age. They're never short of adventure, and they share their stories with people mainly through their YouTube channel. They walked across the Czech Republic (barefoot, among other ways), across Europe, and finally halfway around the planet. When we found out at the beginning of 2022 what they were planning before their longest journey yet, we knew right away we wanted to be part of it and support them. In the summer they set off west from Bali in Indonesia. They walked through more than 25 countries and reached the finish – their home town of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm – on July 25, 2026. **2022 – Mont Blanc (4 809 m) in under 24 hours** Is it possible to climb the highest mountain in the Alps without proper acclimatization? Banán and a friend pulled it off. Luba ended up stopping just below the summit. Want to know and see more from this trip? The Camino is always a good choice. The Vagabundi cleverly picked Pamplona as their start so they'd pass the famous wine fountain along the way. **2021 – Across the Czech Republic on a kid's bike – 500 km** Luba had to deliver TANG instant drink powder to two friends. One of them lives in Prague and the other in České Budějovice. And because trains are boring and he didn't feel like walking this time, he set off from Wallachia on a kid's bike. **2021 – A walking race across the Czech Republic – 570 km** The boys asked themselves the question of a lifetime: "What would it be like if we went head to head?" An eight-day race full of pain gave them the answer. And how did it all end? Watch their [YouTube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIHZmbRM0xQ). **2020 – On foot home from Russia – 700 km** During the covid pandemic the borders opened up for a while in the summer. Luba's feet were already itching, so at short notice and almost unplanned he set off on foot from Kaliningrad in Russia and walked home. This adventure produced two videos on YouTube as well ([part one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUKfViByDWE) and [part two](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O1C2JX3l_E)). **2019 – Barefoot across the Czech Republic – 330 km** Luba lost his shoes at a festival in South Bohemia. So he decided to walk to the other end of the country. And without shoes. This barefoot expedition is captured on [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rARMJKHzDIw). **2018 – On foot to the Sahara – 6 600 km** The legendary 8-month slog to Morocco, which gave the boys – then only 19 – valuable experience and completely overhauled their idea of the future. "This is how we want to live from now on." The idea of a normal life became absurd to them. And it turned into an almost hour-long [documentary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8McMepndN3E) that is really worth watching! **2017 – On foot to the sea – 1 000 km** The boys walked under their own steam to the Mediterranean for exactly 30 days. They finished the trip at an amusement park, where they rode roller coasters for two days.
