Cumulus has become one of the leading manufacturers of ultralight gear in the European context. At the beginning of this minimalist gear brand for the mountains was Zdzisław Wylężek, an enthusiast of long-distance cycling and all sorts of mountain adventures, who was trying to come up with new pieces of equipment that would literally lighten his trips to the heights and distances.
The Cumulus brand was established in 1989, and from the very beginning, it focused on the development and production of quality and light down sleeping bags. Today in its range, you'll also find a variety of other gear including light down a synthetic jackets, which can even be custom-made for you for a small additional fee. Cumulus, in addition to having a quality innovative team and countless satisfied customers, can especially brag about the fact that all their production is based in Poland. Thanks to centralized manufacturing, this company can carefully oversee all parts of its production chain and offer customers honest outdoor gear that's built to last. This domestic production doesn’t only apply to sewing and innovation, but especially to the raw material – down.
