Better sleep, bigger adventures
Therm-a-Rest is a brand that, according to its motto "rest better, play better," has been striving since its inception to provide adventurers of all kinds with a more restful sleep. At the beginning of this brand and its revolutionary sleeping pads were a few climbers and former engineers from closed Boeing factories who didn't want to settle for a lack of sleep on mountain expeditions. The group of founders of Therm-a-Rest from Seattle, USA, came up with their prototype of a packable, incredibly comfortable, and relatively lightweight self-inflating sleeping pad, and in 1972 they forever changed the way we think about sleeping and comfort on outdoor adventures. They soon expanded across the ocean, and today their products are manufactured, among other places, in Cork, Ireland.

The team at Therm-a-Rest didn't rest on their laurels back then either and quickly got to work on more innovations.
