The 3F UL Gear Lanshan 2 tent, with its simple yet thoughtful design, is among the popular ultralight models in its price range. It offers a full double-wall setup with ventilation and good stability even in bad weather. Ventilation openings above the entrances, slightly curved lower edges of the rainfly, and the inner tent made of fine mesh ensure good air circulation and minimize condensation. Two separate entrances with vestibules provide plenty of space for cooking or storing gear. The tent sets up on two trekking poles, and you can pitch the inner tent and the rainfly separately. The entrances can be fully opened thanks to the T-shaped zipper on the inner tent doors.

The latest version of the tent for 2026 brings several improvements. The classic zipper with a storm flap has been replaced with a waterproof zipper, plastic hooks have been swapped for metal ones, and a stronger material, 20D UHMWPE Grid Nylon, has been used in the most stressed area near the vent. Thanks to these changes, the tent is more resistant to bad weather and wear.

Materials and Construction
The rainfly of the tent is made of 15D nylon (weight 40 g/m², water column 5 000 mm), which keeps a low weight and good tensile strength. The material also has high tear resistance and UV stability. The tent's waterproofing is guaranteed by a combination of silicone and PU coating, without the use of PFOS, FPOA, DWR, fluorinated substances, toxic metals, and aldehydes.
The inner tent is made of fine 15D nylon mesh, which ensures effective air circulation and minimizes condensation while still providing good insect protection. The footprint is made of durable 15D nylon with a PU coating and a water column of 6 000 mm. The raised edges of the footprint (so-called bathtub cut) protect against running water and moisture from the ground.
The exposed vent has reinforced 20D UHMWPE Grid Nylon, which combines low weight with exceptional strength and resistance to mechanical wear. Stress points are reinforced with patches made from 20D or 70D material that are heat-bonded. All seams are taped. The YKK zippers and metal Duraflex buckles used ensure long-lasting durability even with frequent use.
The tent construction isn't freestanding because it's set up on two trekking poles with a height of 120–125 cm. You can also hang the peaks from a sturdy branch or another structure. The shape of the tent resists the wind well, while eight anchor points and two guy points increase stability and allow for proper tensioning of the rainfly.

Tent construction
Step 1: Anchor the four corner stakes (A, B, C, D) so they form a perfect rectangle.
Step 2: Set the trekking poles to a height of 120-125 cm and insert them into the peaks above the doors of the tent. Tension and stake down the cords that lead from the vents.
Step 3: Turn it off and stake down the anchor points in the area to increase wind resistance and interior space.
