The Big Agnes C Bar 2 tent may not be the lightest in their lineup, but it still offers a great balance between price, low weight, durability, and enough space. With its simple design and quick setup, it's the perfect choice for weekend trips, long-distance trails, and even more demanding adventures.
The tent is designed for two people and features one front entrance with a vestibule that provides practical storage space. Its great advantage is the free-standing tent construction, which allows you to set it up without the need for anchoring it with stakes, something you’ll appreciate when camping on very hard or, conversely, very loose ground. It’s ideal for camping and trips of all kinds from spring to autumn.
Just like with other tents from Big Agnes, you can set up the C Bar in Fast Fly mode, where you leave the tent body (inner tent) at home and head out with just the frame, rainfly, and stakes. This way, you’ll get a nice lightweight of 1 280 grams. But you will need original footprint, which is not included in the package. The footprint will also extend the life of the tent body. Alternatively, we recommend using at least Tyvek.

Materials and construction
- Rainfly/footprint – recycled 75D polyester taffeta with a 1500mm waterproof PU coating and a water-repellent treatment without intentionally added PFAS.
- Inner tent – recycled breathable 75D polyester taffeta and polyester mesh
- Poles – DAC Pressfit pole system with a lightweight hub for a stable structure
- Waterproof seams – solvent-free polyurethane tape (contains no PVC or VOCs). All seams are taped, so you won't have to deal with any additional seam sealing or anything like that.
- Stakes – 8 x 6,75” Dirt Dagger™ UL Stakes (length 17 cm)
- The tent is free-standing. That means it can stand on its own even without being staked down with pegs.
- Setting up the tent is simple and intuitive.
