Ultralight three-season tent for one person designed for bikepacking, based on the foundations of a proven tent Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1. The bikepack version is more compact when packed and comes in a special waterproof bag that can be attached to the handlebars.
The tent is designed for one person and has one entrance and a vestibule, as well as enough space for equipment. The zipper has two sliders and is equipped with ergonomic pulls. The rainfly has zippers protected by a storm flap with Velcro.
In the Copper Spur, you will definitely appreciate plenty of pockets and storage space. The largest pocket (the so-called 3D bin) is located at the ceiling above your feet. Two smaller flat pockets are located above your head. One of these pockets has an opening in the corner. Here at Big Agnes, they thought of those who like to listen to music – you can put your mobile in the top pocket and run the headphone cable through the opening. You will find another small pocket at the entrances. There are also several loops for hanging necessary equipment or drying clothes.

The rainfly is not pulled down to the ground, ensuring better air circulation and minimizing the chance of internal condensation. However, to prevent water from splashing into the tent during heavy rains, the tent body (inner tent) is equipped with waterproof material on the sides from the ground up to about 50 cm. The rainfly is equipped with one vent with a mosquito net.
The tent structure is easier thanks to the thoughtfully designed TipLok Tent Buckle™ in the corners of the tent, which has three functions: securing the pole structure, tensioning and attaching the rainfly to the tent body, and staking out.
To ensure extra stability, there are Velcro strips on the inner side of the rainfly, which allow you to attach the rainfly to the structure.
The tent can also be used in Fast Fly mode, where you leave the inner tent at home and set off only with the frame, rainfly, and stakes. This way, you achieve a beautiful weight of 879 grams. However, you will need the original footprint, which is not included in the package. The footprint will also extend the life of the floor of the tent body, so it's good to have one. If you don't want to get a footprint, consider at least using tyvek.
The tent construction is simple, quick, and intuitive. The structure consists of lightweight and durable DAC Featherlite aluminum poles.

The new versions of the Copper Spur tents allow you to create an awning over the vestibule from the rainfly, which you can set up using trekking poles, other poles, or branches. This awning, or canopy, will provide you with shade and a chill zone on hot days. On warmer nights, you can ventilate beautifully, keep your gear in the vestibules, and still be protected from the dew.
You can easily customize the tent to your needs and mood.

The Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1 tent version designed for bikepacking has shorter segments of the pole structure, which, when packed, measure 30 cm in length instead of 50 cm. This makes it easy to fit the poles on the handlebars, in a saddlebag, or anywhere else. The tent also comes with a sturdy waterproof bag that allows you to attach the tent and poles to the handlebars.
On the outer side of the rainfly, we find a sewn strap with loops for drying wet gear and clothing.
The tent is also equipped with a special storage space for a helmet – on the outside of the mesh there is an elastic strap for securing the helmet.
The tent footprint (not included in the package) is extended and forms the floor in the vestibules as well. You can store your gear in them without having to place it directly on the ground.

The rainfly and the tent body are constructed from silicone-coated double ripstop nylon, which is further treated with a PU coating on the inner side. The combination of these two treatments (silicone + coating) ensures excellent waterproofing. The quality of this tent, in fact, speaks for itself. annual research on the most commonly used gear in long-distance races, where it has ranked in the TOP 5 for several years in a row.
All seams are taped with waterproof polyurethane tape that is solvent-free (PVC and VOC free). You won't have to deal with any additional seam sealing or similar procedure.
The tent construction consists of one durable DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum pole. The tent structure is free-standing.
The new ultra-lightweight and durable Dirt Dagger UL Tent Stakes are constructed from aluminum, feature a patented I-beam design, and are 15 cm long.
