A proven and tasted ultralight three-season tent for two people with one vestibule. The Fly Creek is among the lightest tents from Big Agnes. The bikepack version is more compact when packed and comes with a special waterproof bag that can be attached to the handlebars.
What is specific about the product?
The Fly Creek Bikepack underwent a complete redesign for 2022.
At Big Agnes, they developed their own alternative method for dyeing tent fabrics – Solution Dye, which is much more environmentally friendly (see below).
The tent has a greater inner height and a larger front entry, thanks to a design with steeper walls.
The single-pole DAC Angle SF Hub construction increased the usable space inside the tent and in the vestibule without increasing the weight.
The construction of the tent is easier thanks to the thoughtfully designed TipLok Tent Buckle™ in the corners of the tent, which has three functions: securing the pole structure, tensioning and attaching the rainfly to the tent body, and staking down. For added stability, there are Velcro straps on the inside of the rainfly, which allow you to connect the rainfly to the structure.

The tent has one main entrance. The rainfly is equipped with two zipper sliders and a storm flap with Velcro. Setting it up during the day or night is made easier by reflective guy lines and color-coded elements of the tent.
On each side of the entrance, there is a large mesh pocket for gear. Another large pocket can be found above your head. It has holes in the corners specifically for those who like to listen to music – you can put your mobile in the top pocket and pass the headphone cable through the opening. If you need to hang any gear inside the tent (headlamp, wet clothes), you can use the loops available in it.
The tent can also be used in Fast Fly mode, where you leave the inner tent at home and go out only with the structure, rainfly, and stakes. This way, you will achieve a beautiful weight of 794 grams. However, you will need original footprint, which is not included in the package. The footprint will also extend the lifespan of the tent body floor, so it is advisable to have one. If you do not want to purchase a footprint, consider at least using a Tyvek.
The tent construction is simple and intuitive.

The Big Agnes Fly Creek HV UL2 Bikepack Solution Dye tent version is primarily designed for bikepacking, which is why it features shorter segments of pole construction that measure 30 cm in length when packed, instead of the standard 50 cm. This allows the poles to easily fit on your handlebars, in a seat bag, or anywhere else on the bike. The tent also comes with a sturdy waterproof stuff sack that you can use to attach the tent and poles to your handlebars.
On the outer side of the rainfly, we find a sewn strap with loops for drying wet gear and clothing.
The tent is also equipped with a special storage space for a helmet – on the outer side of the mosquito net, there is an elastic strap for securing the helmet.
Tent footprint (not included in the package) is extended and forms the floor even in vestibules. You can store gear in them without having to place it directly on the ground.

The rainfly and the floor of the tent body are constructed from double ripstop nylon with a silicone treatment, which is additionally coated with PU on the inner side. The combination of these two treatments (silicone + coating) ensures excellent waterproofing. The qualities of this tent are evidenced by annual research on the most commonly used equipment in long-distance hikes, in which the model Fly Creek UL2 several years in a row places in the TOP 5.
All seams are taped with waterproof polyurethane tape that is solvent-free (PVC and VOC free). You won't need any additional seam sealing or similar procedure.
The tent frame consists of one durable DAC Featherlite NFL aluminum pole.
The new ultra-light and durable Dirt Dagger UL Tent Stakes are made of aluminum, feature a patented I-beam construction, and are 15 cm long.
The tent is semi-freestanding. This means it can stand on its own without stakes, but to keep the lower part at the foot end tensioned, it needs to be weighted down or staked.

Big Agnes was the first to come up with their own alternative method of dyeing tent fabrics, which drastically reduced water and energy consumption in the manufacturing process. Their technology is much more environmentally friendly and gives the fabrics great UV resistance. You can find this technology in the Fly Creek and Tiger Wall tents.
