Weight
A proven ultralight three-season tent for two people from the American brand Big Agnes. It's one of the most popular tents for long-distance trails, like the AT, PCT, and CDT. If low weight is your priority, then the Fly Creek tent is the right choice for you. Newly, the tent material is equipped with the innovative HyperBead™ technology, making it even lighter, stronger, and more water-resistant.
Who is it suitable for?

The new Fly Creek tent models for 2025 feature the innovative HyperBead™ technology that boosts the material's strength, increases waterproofness, and reduces weight at the same time (more info below).
The tent is designed for 2 people, but on long-distance trails, like Pacific Crest Trail, is often used by 1 person with enough space to store all their stuff inside the tent. Thanks to the design with steeper walls, it has a greater inner height and a bigger front entrance. The single-pole construction increases the usable space inside the tent and in the vestibule without adding extra weight.
The tent has one front entrance with a spacious vestibule for storing your gear. The rainfly is equipped with two zipper sliders and a storm flap with velcro. Setting it up during the day and at night is made easier by reflective guy lines and color-coded features of the tent. Inside the tent, you'll find loops for attaching gear lofts and other equipment.
Setting up the tent is easier thanks to the clever TipLok Tent Buckle™ in the corners of the tent, which has three functions: securing the pole structure, tensioning and attaching the rainfly to the tent body, and staking out.
You’ve got plenty of storage space with two side pockets and one big ceiling pocket. The ceiling pocket has holes in the corners specially for those who love to listen to music – you can put your phone in the top pocket and run your headphone cable through the hole.

The pole runs down the center by your feet, so the back wall stays taut in the middle, which creates more usable space around your legs and reduces the chance of your sleeping bag's footbox sticking to the damp rainfly from condensation.
To ensure better air ventilation and reduce potential condensation, we recommend using the zipper sliders on the rainfly at the entrance. With two sliders, you can partially open the zipper from the bottom and the top. Securing the open doors of the inner tent is made easy with the Quick Stash holder.
To ensure extra stability, there are Velcro strips on the inner side of the rainfly, which you can use to attach the rainfly to the frame.
You can also use the tent in Fast Fly mode, where you leave the bedroom (inner tent) at home and head out with just the frame, rainfly, and stakes. This way, you'll get down to a nice weight of 676 grams. But you'll need original footprint, which is not included in the package. The footprint will also extend the life of your tent body. Alternatively, we recommend using at least Tyvek.

Big Agnes is bringing you a new innovative material treatment technology for their ultralight tents in 2025 – HyperBead™. Thanks to this advanced waterproof treatment, the tents are lighter, stronger, and more durable than ever before. HyperBead™ is free of PFAS and other harmful substances, offering a safer and more sustainable alternative to standard water-repellent treatments without negative impacts on health and the environment.
Compared to regular materials, tents with HyperBead™ technology have:
Unlike regular DWR treatments, HyperBead™ is impermeable at the molecular level, so it keeps its effectiveness throughout the lifespan of the tent. Plus, it stretches less in humidity, which contributes to better stability and a longer life for the material.
