The Lost Range sleeping system from Big Agnes boasts incredible versatility and practicality. It consists of two down sleeping bags that can be used separately or together. This allows you to comfortably handle temperature conditions practically all year round.
Why is the product exceptional?
The Lost Range sleeping system from Big Agnes consists of two parts: an outer sleeping bag (quilt) and an inner sleeping bag. The biggest advantage of this sleeping system is its great versatility. With the individual parts or the complete sleeping system, you can cover temperature conditions throughout the entire year.
The outer sleeping bag (quilt) has 227 grams of down and will be ideal for summer nights on its own. The inner sleeping bag is filled with 454 grams of down (regular), so you will most use it separately in spring and autumn.
By combining both parts, you will get a warm down sleeping system with a limit of up to -16 °C, which is sufficient for freezing winter conditions.
The product also includes a stuff sack and a storage bag for home. For alternative storage or hanging of sleeping bags while drying, small loops at the bottom of the sleeping bag near the feet are provided. The loops are present in both the outer and inner parts of the sleeping system.

The outer sleeping bag is essentially a quilt or down blanket that does not have insulating filling on the back. This saves the weight of down that would lose its loft when compressed and loaded by a person, thus losing to some extent its ability to provide perfect insulation. The insulation from the ground in the case of using a quilt is supplemented by the sleeping pad of your choice.
The separate use of the outer quilt is more suitable for warmer conditions or sleeping in cabins. The thermal comfort is enhanced by the enclosed space in the foot box area. The quilt's zipper is two-way, allowing for individual ventilation regulation and insulation levels. The zipper is on the left side and is covered on the inside by a down-filled insulating tube that prevents heat loss.
The bottom part of the quilt is equipped with a sleeve and a simple fastening system for attachment to the sleeping pad. By attaching the quilt to the sleeping pad, slipping and sliding off the pad during the night is prevented, which significantly increases sleeping comfort. At the same time, it ensures that the quilt remains in the same position. The fastening system will be compatible with most sleeping pads with a width of up to 51–76 cm and a length of up to 183–198 cm.
The quilt is also equipped with a pocket for a pillow.

The inner part of the Lost Range sleeping system essentially consists of a classic mummy-shaped sleeping bag. The sleeping bag is equipped with a snag-free zipper that goes up to three-quarters of the bag's length. On the inside, the zipper is covered by a down-filled insulating tube to prevent heat loss through the zipper.
Unlike the outer quilt, the inner sleeping bag has a shaped hood.
A standalone inner sleeping bag is suitable for three-season use – from spring to autumn.

The outer fabric of the sleeping bags is made of ultra-light nylon rip-stop material.
The insulating filling used is certified duck down with DownTek™ hydrophobic treatment, which has the ability to repel water while maintaining insulation values. The water-repellent protection is bluesign® certified and free from perfluorocarbons (PFCs), which have a negative impact on health and especially on the environment.
The down has a fill power of 850 cuin.
