Are you looking for an affordable winter sleeping bag that won't take up half your backpack and won't weigh you down? With the Cumulus Alaska 900 sleeping bag, you can't go wrong. Thanks to high-quality materials, DWR treatment of the outer fabric, and a well-designed construction, it provides an excellent balance of thermal comfort to weight.

The manufacturer has opted for the already proven ultralight fabric Pertex® Quantum 35 g/m² (20-denier ripstop), which perfectly combines high durability, breathability, and packability. On the outer side, the fabric is equipped with a permanent water-repellent DWR coating that will hold back light condensation or a few drops of water.
The sleeping bag is filled with 900 grams of white duck down with a fill power of 700 cuin. The down-to-feather ratio is 95/5. The upper chambers are separated from the lower ones and are filled with a slightly larger amount of down. The down is distributed here in a ratio of 55/45.

The sleeping bag double H-shaped chamber design. It is one of the most advanced types of chambers that minimizes the formation of so-called cold spots at the seam between chambers. At the same time, it has a relatively low weight.
The width of the sleeping bag at the shoulders is 85 cm and at the hips is 59 cm. Based on our experience, the basic size M is suitable for individuals with a maximum height of 190 cm.

For simple orientation, the drawstring for the hood and collar is differentiated; you tighten the hood with a flat strap and the collar with a rubber band. The sleeping bag has a fluffy down collar that wraps around your neck from both sides and prevents heat loss through the hood. Inside the sleeping bag, there is a mesh pocket for your mobile phone, earplugs, or other small items.
The sleeping bag has a YKK zipper with an extended slider to prevent it from getting caught in the fabric when zipping up. At the feet, you'll find a second slider, which is ideal for ventilation. Behind the zipper on the inside are two down-filled insulating tubes, which minimize heat loss through the zipper itself. Two sleeping bags from the brand Cumulus with opposite zippers (left + right) can be zipped together.

A simple travel storage sack is included with the sleeping bag. The sleeping bag has the shape of a cylinder with a volume of 14,1 liters and dimensions of 32/21 cm (height/diameter).
The original sack cannot be further compressed and is not waterproof, so we recommend getting a sack that solves both problems. The ideal choice is STS compression sack eVENT Ultra-Sil of size L or a classic waterproof bag Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Sack about the size of 20 liters.
You also get a large storage bag for home use with the sleeping bag, so the sleeping bag isn't unnecessarily compressed for a long time.
