Materials
Selva 300 underquilt features a Pertex Quantum fabric weighing 29 g/m² (15D ripstop nylon), which perfectly combines low weight, durability, breathability, and packability. The outer side is treated with a durable water-repellent DWR layer that will hold back light condensation from humidity or a few drops of water.
The awesome insulation performance comes from 300 grams of goose down with a fill power of 850 cuin. The down to small feathers ratio is 95/5. The upper chambers are separated from the lower ones and are filled with a slightly larger amount of down. The down is distributed here in a ratio of 55/45. The total weight of the quilt is 575 g.
The manufacturer states a comfort temperature of 2 °C and a limit temperature of -4 °C (when used with a top quilt Taiga 250).
Construction
Selva 300 is what you call an underquilt, meaning it's a blanket designed to hang underneath your hammock and keep you warm from below. Unlike a sleeping bag, the down in the underquilt isn't compressed, so it insulates better and keeps the heat in while you’re sleeping outside. You can also use the blanket as a down duvet, for example, in cabins.
The blanket uses an H-shaped chamber construction, which prevents the formation of "cold spots" where the two chambers are sewn together. The width at the top is 110 cm and 75 cm at the bottom. Selva 300 is perfect for use in a hammock or hanging chair and is designed for users with a maximum height of 185 cm. The total length of the blanket is 195 cm. Selva 300 provides effective insulation along the full length of the hammock and optimally utilizes the insulating properties of goose down.
The intuitive suspension system with elastic cords lets you easily adjust under the hammock, minimizing drafts and ensuring a secure attachment.

Accessories
The quilt comes with a simple stuff sack. The quilt fits in it in the shape of a cylinder with a volume of 4 liters and dimensions of 22 x 16 cm (height x diameter).
The original bag can't be compressed any further and it's not waterproof, so we recommend getting a bag that solves both issues. The ideal choice is Sea To Summit eVac Compression Dry Bag UL or a classic waterproof bag Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag (size 8 liters).
With this underquilt, you'll also get a storage bag for home, so the down doesn't get unnecessarily compressed for a long time.
