What is the product good for?

The Taiga 250 top quilt's construction features Pertex Quantum 29 g/m² (15D ripstop nylon), which perfectly combines low weight, durability, breathability, and packability. The outer side of the fabric is treated with a durable water-repellent DWR layer that holds back light condensation of moisture in the air or a few drops of water.
The awesome insulation performance is thanks to 250 grams of goose down with a fill power of 850 cuin. The down to small feathers ratio is 95/5. The upper chambers are separated from the lower ones and are filled with a slightly larger amount of down. The down distribution ratio here is 55/45. The total weight of the quilt is 510 g.
The manufacturer specifies a comfort temperature of 2 °C and a limit temperature of -4 °C (when used in a hammock with the underquilt Selva 250 or Selva 300).

The Taiga 250 is an open blanket without a zipper with a closed footbox, also known as a topquilt. Topquilts are primarily designed for comfy sleeping in a hammock, but you can also use them as classic quilts while sleeping on the ground on a sleeping pad without any issues. When sleeping in a hammock, an underquilt provides insulation from below, while when sleeping on the ground, the sleeping pad takes over that function.
The blanket uses an H-shaped chamber construction. Thanks to the innovative design that combines an anatomically shaped shark fin-style footbox and longitudinal chambers at the top of the blanket, it prevents the down from sliding to the center due to the pressure of your hips in the hammock. The width at the top is 77 cm and at the bottom is 51 cm. The Taiga 250 is suitable for use in a hammock or hanging net and is designed for users with a maximum height of 190 cm. The total length of the blanket is 187 cm. The topquilt provides effective insulation across the entire width of the hammock and optimally utilizes the insulating properties of goose down.

A simple stuff sack comes with the quilt. The quilt fits into it in a cylinder shape with a volume of 3 liters, measuring 19 x 15 cm (height x diameter).
The original bag can't be compressed any further and isn't waterproof, so we recommend getting a bag that solves both problems. The ideal choice is a compression stuff sack. Sea To Summit eVac Compression Dry Bag UL or a classic waterproof bag Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag (size 8 liters).
With this topquilt, you’ll also get a storage bag for home so the down doesn’t get unnecessarily compressed for a long time.
