Ethiopia Legesse Borsamo offers a balanced flavor profile with fruity notes of peach, black tea, and bergamot. Initially, its taste is dominated by sweetness, which shifts to a refreshing acidity as it cools. If you’re a fan of fruity coffee, you’ll definitely love this Ethiopian gem. For the best preparation, we recommend using a maximum of 175 ml of water. We prefer it black, and it’s fantastic over ice on hot days.

Legesse Borsamo is a coffee grower and preacher originally from the Sidama region. In the early 2000s, he moved from Sidama to neighboring Nensebo West Arsi. Since his arrival, Legesse has dedicated himself to coffee farming and spreading the teachings of his faith. Alongside his brother, he manages a farm of just over 5 hectares. Until 2020, they sold their coffee cherries to local wet mill owners like most farmers in the region. However, inspired by the success of Nensebo coffees in the 2020 Cup of Excellence—where five of the top 10 spots were claimed by Nensebo coffees—Legesse and his brother decided to take matters into their own hands. They began processing their coffee directly on their farm, adding value and improving quality while earning higher prices.
They follow a fully organic, agroforestry approach, where coffee trees thrive in the shade of mixed crops. This regenerative farming system promotes biodiversity and creates a harmonious environment for coffee growth. Legesse and his brother handpick only the ripe red cherries and process them on their farm. The cherries are laid out on raised drying beds, where they are frequently raked to ensure even drying. The drying process takes approximately 16 days.
