Gear Aid Mesh Patches
Tenacious Tape Mesh Patches are used to repair torn mosquito nets and mesh – in tents, or on head protection against insects.
The repair is quick and easy thanks to self-adhesive patches.
The patches are made of a sturdy nylon mesh (circle with a diameter of 76 mm), around the perimeter of which is a transparent self-adhesive strip made of PVC tape.
High-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive allows for permanent repair. The patch ensures complete protection against insect penetration.
Instructions for use
The patch allows you to repair a damaged spot in the mosquito netting up to 70 mm in diameter.
It is advisable to work with wet fingers in case we accidentally touch the adhesive. We align the repaired mesh on a flat surface. We hold the patch with two fingers at the center, remove the release film of the adhesive with the other hand, and place the patch on the repair area. We smooth the adhesive strip thoroughly.
After perfectly smoothing the patch, we turn the glued mesh fabric upside down and dust the glued area with talcum powder. This will prevent possible subsequent sticking when folding the mosquito net. The glue is currently covered only by the mesh from the underside. If we do not want to use talcum powder, we can apply a second patch from the other side (the underside). We pay attention to the position of both patches, as we want them to overlap. The second patch will significantly strengthen the joint.
