Usage
The Dagger 22 is an excellent companion for full-day hikes. For those who have streamlined their sleeping systems with compact sleeping bags, pads, and shelters, it can also be used for short weekend treks. External stretch pockets and compression straps are perfect for securing gear that doesn't fit inside the main compartment. The backpack also works perfectly for travel or city use.
Despite its smaller capacity, the Dagger 22 includes features typically found in larger backpacks—comfortable padding, an internal plastic frame, and load-lifter straps. The manufacturer rates its carrying capacity at 11 kg.
The backpack is available in one size only, suitable for users with a torso length of 40–53 cm. Its approximate dimensions are 53 x 33 x 20 cm.
Features
The backpack features a single main compartment with a zippered closure, including a sleeve for a hydration reservoir. The drinking tube port is conveniently located between the shoulder straps. For added comfort when carrying heavier loads, the internal plastic frame provides excellent support and can be removed to save 130 grams of weight.
For small items like a wallet, phone, or keys that you prefer not to carry in your pockets, there’s a small zippered pocket on the top exterior of the pack.
Each side of the backpack has two compression straps, which can be used to reduce the pack's volume, secure contents in the side stretch pockets, or attach additional gear.
The side stretch pockets are spacious enough to hold 1,5-liter bottles and are deep enough for smaller items like a headlamp or a quick snack.
The stretch kangaroo pocket on the front of the pack is perfect for a waterproof jacket, trowel, tent stakes, or similar gear. In front of this pocket, there’s a bungee cord with a toggle for attaching extra equipment.
The pack also includes load-lifter straps, which are particularly helpful when carrying heavier loads, allowing you to pull the pack closer to your body for better balance and weight distribution.
To prevent the pack from shifting side-to-side during movement, it features a removable hip belt. Additionally, the backpack includes a sternum strap and attachment loops for an ice axe and trekking poles.
