HydroBlu Activated Carbon Filter is a replacement filter that significantly improves the quality of filtered water. It uses a combination of activated carbon and ion exchange to remove heavy metals (like lead, cadmium, nickel, zinc), chemicals (such as chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, or fuel residues), while also greatly enhancing the taste and clarity of the water. Ion exchangers capture harmful ions and replace them with harmless ones, like sodium and potassium.
It’s used as an extra accessory for HydroBlu Versa Flow water filter, which you can buy independently or in the package with additional accessories. Using the carbon filter is easy – it just screws onto the output end of the water filter. The water filter itself, which removes dirt, bacteria, and parasites from the water, is not included in the package.

Maintenance
The activated carbon filter is low-maintenance – it doesn’t need backflushing or chemical cleaning. After reaching a capacity of 568 liters, it loses effectiveness and you need to replace it with a new one. Between uses, just keep it dry and out of direct sunlight.
