Another backpack from the legendary American brand Hyperlite Mountain Gear, designed for long-distance trails for all ultralight enthusiasts with already fine-tuned ultralight gear list. It is also suitable for shorter hikes and one-day mountain climbs. The backpack is well-designed in every detail, and despite its low weight, it has a number of features – including roll-top closure, removable back reinforcement, hip belt, and plenty of pockets.
Why is the product exceptional?

Waypoint 35 from the popular American brand Hyperlite Mountain Gear is the lightest and most compact backpack with an internal frame in their range. It is designed for true minimalists for whom even the standard volume of 40+ liters for long-distance trails and hikes is too large.
The internal volume of the Waypoint backpack is 35 liters, and the external pockets can hold additional gear with a volume of up to 6,5 liters. It is clear that every piece of gear must be meticulously planned, compact, and ultralight, so you can comfortably pack for several days to weeks of hiking with everything you need. With a refined ultralight gear list and the Waypoint 35 backpack, you can handle even some longer thru-hikes while carrying food for about 2–4 days.
The backpack will be appreciated not only by experienced ultralight thru-hikers but also by those who go on shorter trips and weekend hikes or on one-day technical mountain climbs.
The backpack is extremely durable, comfortable, adaptable, reliable, and carefully designed down to the smallest details – from roll-top closure, through a removable hip belt to 7 external pockets.

Backpack closure: Roll-top closure system with side buckles for attachment and easy compression.
Hip belt: Removable hip belt with padding, two large zippered pockets, and adjustable options. It is made of 100D Dyneema® Gridstop material.
Backpack reinforcement: Sewn back panel with a simple removable aluminum stay that ensures effective weight transfer to the hips and comfortable carrying of the backpack.
Side straps: Side vertical straps for connection with roll-top closure provide additional compression.
Top compression straps: Adjustable Y-shaped top straps are designed for compression and attachment of additional gear or clothing.
Shoulder straps with pockets: The shoulder straps made of 100D Dyneema® Gridstop material have a wider construction and two integrated stretch pockets made of Dyneema® Stretch Mesh UL. The pockets are ideal for a cell phone, sunglasses, snacks, and candies, but small water bottles can also fit inside. The top edge of the pockets can be tightened using an elastic band.
Chest strap: The redesigned chest strap allows for arbitrary positioning in the vertical direction along the shoulder straps. Additionally, a whistle is located on the chest strap buckle.
Buckles/straps: Reduced buckles and elastics minimize weight without compromising durability. Removable compression straps on the sides of the backpack are made from simple thin cord, ideal for securing trekking poles or tent poles placed in side pockets.

Seam sealing: The backpack material is waterproof, and all vertical seams are additionally taped with waterproof tape, which increases the overall water resistance of the backpack.
Large stretch pocket: The large stretch pocket on the front provides important storage space and quick access for items such as a wet tent/tarp, water filter, tent stakes, waterproof jacket, etc. The pocket is made from lightweight and durable Dyneema® Stretch Mesh UL material. At the top, the pocket is additionally equipped with a buckle for attachment and closure.
Side pockets: Really spacious side pockets are equipped with a drawstring and can easily hold 2-liter bottles or additional gear. They are made from 100D Dyneema® Gridstop material.
Bottom shape: The bottom of the backpack is shaped like a D, which keeps the backpack upright during packing and unpacking.
Loops: The backpack has a number of loops for attaching additional equipment - a loop for an ice axe (which can be pulled inside the backpack when not in use), a loop for holding the backpack, and 6 small loops on the sides of the outer front pocket.
Compatible accessories (sold separately): fanny pack Versa, Camera Pod, waterproof dry bags and organizers Side Entry Pod, Gear Pods and Roll-Top Stuff Sack.

Dyneema® fiber is a revolutionary material not only in the outdoor industry. With its remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, it is the strongest fiber in the world. Dyneema® fibers are 15x stronger than high-quality steel, lightweight, abrasion-resistant, waterproof, and resistant to UV radiation and chemicals.
The HMG Waypoint 35 backpack (available in white and black) is constructed from a hybrid composite fabric Dyneema® – Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 3.8 (120 g/m², DCH50) and Dyneema® Composite Hybrid 5.1 (170 g/m², DCH150) on the bottom and back panel.
This material is created by combining and laminating additional layers with Dyneema® fibers. This material excels in high abrasion resistance, exceptional strength, outstanding rip-stop properties, and moisture impermeability.
Although the material itself is 100% waterproof, stitching creates tiny perforations. While most (more than 90%) seams in the backpack are taped, it cannot be considered completely waterproof. For full protection against water and moisture, we recommend using the backpack with waterproof dry bags.
