The new and improved model of the most popular backpack from Liteway. The Elementum 50 is an ultralight frameless backpack for weekend hikes. However, if you have been dedicated to ultralight for a longer time and your gear is really fine-tuned, you can manage even long-distance trails with it. The backpack is made from extremely durable and waterproof materials Ecopak™ EPX200 or UltraGrid™.

New series of the most popular model from Liteway, tested by hundreds of hikers. It is a reliable companion for weekend hikes as well as long-distance trails.
The improved model features a new material for the external pockets. The front stretch pocket, side pockets, and shoulder pockets are now made from durable UltraStretch fabric. The backpack now includes removable load lifters. There has also been a slight adjustment to the proportions of the hip belt, with the hip belt pockets shifted forward for easier access. The simple and proven design, waterproof material, and attachment loops for bungee cords remain unchanged.
The backpack is available in three sizes:
The length specified for each size refers to the distance from the top of the shoulder straps to the bottom of the backpack.

The fact that the back of the backpack is not reinforced with a solid frame is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The main advantage is the weight savings on a part of the backpack that is not completely necessary. However, one must pay more attention when packing things into the backpack to prevent sharp objects from digging into their back. If you pack the backpack well, it is really comfortable. With a little practice, it will become easy for you, and you will perceive the lack of a frame as a great positive.
Thanks to the frameless construction and minimalist design, the weight of the backpack has reached an incredible 740 grams.
We have found it effective to place a folded inflatable sleeping pad in a rectangle against the back of the backpack or a seat pad (27 g).
The second option for ensuring comfortable back support is to attach a seat pad or a folded foam sleeping pad externally to the backpack, using elastic cords that you can secure to the loops on the sides of the backpack. This way, you create external padding and will always have the seat pad at hand.

Minimalist design – The backpack has a single main compartment with a roll-top closure and a horizontal strap for additional compression or gear attachment. This allows you to easily adjust the height of the backpack according to its load.
Wide shoulder straps – Especially on a frameless backpack, you’ll appreciate the wide, comfortable, and well-padded shoulder straps.
Side pockets – The stretch side pockets made of UltraStretch fabric can easily accommodate a 2-liter bottle.
Front stretch pocket – The spacious UltraStretch pocket on the front is perfect for storing a rain jacket, trowel, tent stakes, or similar gear. There are also bungee cords on the outside of this pocket for attaching lightweight gear or clothing, which you can remove or reposition as needed.
Foam pad attachment – The bottom of the backpack features two paracords with Lineloc adjusters, allowing you to easily attach a foam sleeping pad or other gear.
Comfortable hip belt with pockets – The spacious pockets on the hip belt can fit even a larger smartphone. The zippers on these pockets are waterproof, and inside, you’ll find a clip for securing keys or a wallet.
Stretch pockets on shoulder straps – Both shoulder straps feature roomy pockets made from UltraStretch fabric, ideal for small smartphones, sunglasses, snacks, tissues, and other essentials you want within easy reach.
Side bungee cords – These Lineloc-adjustable cords on the sides allow you to attach trekking poles, a foam sleeping pad, or other gear.
Hydration system compatibility – Inside the backpack, there is a loop for hanging a hydration bladder, and a hose port between the shoulder straps for easy hydration access.
Adjustable sternum strap – The sternum strap can be moved up and down or removed entirely if you don’t need it.
Load lifters – The backpack comes with removable load lifters, allowing you to pull the pack closer to your body for improved weight distribution and stability.

The Black and Olive color variants are made from Ecopak™ EPX200, while the Avocado color variant is made from UltraGrid™. The zippers used are from YKK, and the buckles are from Woojin Plastic.
Ecopak™ EPX200 – One of our most popular backpack materials, this multi-layer laminated fabric is 100% waterproof, abrasion-resistant, lightweight, and cost-effective. A major advantage of Ecopak™ EPX200 is that it is made from recycled polyester and features a C0 DWR finish (fluorocarbon-free).
UltraGrid™ – A recycled nylon fabric with an Ultra™ ripstop grid, constructed from 210D recycled nylon. It offers exceptional tear strength with a unique visual effect. The fabric has a C0 DWR finish (fluorocarbon-free) and a PU coating with a 1 500 mm water column.
The main material is 100% waterproof, but please note that the seams are not sealed.
