Liteway Illusion Duo Tent (2024) is an ultralight and compact three-season single-wall tent for 2 people with setup using two trekking poles. The mosquito net with a footprint is integrated into the rainfly and protects against insects as well as bad weather.
This is a new, improved version of the original tent Illusion Duo Tent.The difference is primarily in the construction - the new version is built on two trekking poles instead of one, and you don't need any adapter to set it up with two poles.

Illusion Duo Tent (2024)
Thanks to the new design for 2 trekking poles (130 cm long), its construction is even simpler, more stable, and the poles do not get in the way in the middle of the tent. At the same time, this improved version retains the properties of an almost pyramid shape. For better stability and durability, there are special pockets at the top and in the floor for securing them. However, the new version is slightly narrower and lower.
Thanks to the thoughtful design, where the mosquito net is permanently sewn to the rainfly, the interior of the tent is fully protected from insects and adverse weather. The tent has 2 doors and 2 spacious vestibules for gear or possible cooking in bad weather. The weight of this tent is an impressive 830 grams!
Pyramid construction
Pyramid-shaped tents excel in their excellent resistance to wind. If the tent is well anchored, with stakes and trekking poles securely fastened, the tent has practically nowhere to collapse in strong winds.
It also stands up exceptionally well to rain, as water simply runs off the steep walls. Pyramids have a really low weight and are easy to set up.
The construction of the tent is really simple – you just need to stake down the corners, insert the trekking poles into the pockets, stake down the vestibules, and possibly tension the additional guy lines.
Features I.
The tent has 2 doors equipped with a waterproof YKK Aquagard zipper and 2 vestibules that are 55 cm long.
At the top, there are 2 vents to minimize condensation inside the tent. The vents are covered with mesh to keep insects out.
At the bottom edge - in the middle and at the corners - there are Linelocs (a plastic component for loosening and tightening paracord).
For adjusting the inner height or improving stability in the wind, there are anchor points on the lower edges and on the surface on all sides.
Features II.
The tops of the tent, where trekking poles are inserted, are reinforced from the inside with durable EPX200 material to prevent damage from the trekking poles.
The entrance zipper is equipped with a cross buckle at the bottom to prevent excessive tension on the zipper when the tent is unzipped.
If you want to keep the tent slightly open for better air ventilation, you can roll up part of the rainfly and secure it with a strap and a loop.
The inner mosquito net has 2 small pockets at the top for small items, such as a mobile phone, headlamp, etc.

- 1.1 oz Levitex Silpoly 20D Ripstop 2000mm
- Buckles from Woojin Plastic, EPX200 for top reinforcement, YKK Aquagard #3 zipper.
The manufacturer opted for polyester here instead of traditional nylon (polyamide), which we encounter in most ultralight tents. The reason is that wet polyester does not sag as much and does not absorb as much water, and therefore dries more quickly.
Warning, the seams are not taped! Since the tent is constructed from silicone-coated polyester, it cannot be taped with waterproof polyurethane strips like most tents (they do not adhere to the silicone surface). You must apply silicone adhesive/coating to the seams from the outside before use. You can use Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil 28g or prepare the coating at home using sanitary silicone and paint thinner (white spirit, in a ratio of approximately 1:2, with a consistency similar to oil).
