Liteway Simple Quilt 870 FP 10D
Ultralight three-season down quilt weighing only 497 grams (size M). The Simple Quilt is filled with goose and duck down (80/20) with a fill power of 870 cuin, treated with a water-repellent coating for better moisture resistance. It is almost identical to the Sleeper Quilt with the difference that the Simple Quilt does not have a zipper in the foot box and cannot be used as an insulated poncho. However, it is a few grams lighter and more compact because of this.
A simple ultralight quilt suitable for hiking from spring to autumn.
Materials and specifications
The Simple Quilt is made from 10 denier nylon, which offers an ideal balance between durability, breathability, and low weight. The fabric is treated with DWR coating, which protects the sleeping bag from light condensation or a few drops of water.
The sleeping bag in size M is filled with 280 grams and in size L with 320 grams of down. It is a combination of goose (80%) and duck (20%) down. The down filling has a fill power of 870 cuin and is treated with a hydrophobic finish for better resistance to moisture. The ratio of down to small feathers is 90/10.
The total weight of size M is 497 grams and size L is 537 grams. The weight of the attachment straps is 15 grams and the weight of the storage sack (mosquito net) is 16 grams.
Size M is suitable for individuals up to 180 cm tall; for those over 180 cm, we recommend size L.
Construction
Between the individual chambers, there are vertical baffles that significantly reduce heat loss at the junction of two chambers compared to simpler sewn through constructions.
To save weight and improve packability, quilts are stripped of all unnecessary features. On its back side from the waist up, inefficiently used down is removed, which would be mostly compressed under your body and practically serve no purpose. To keep the opening on your back underneath you at all times, the quilt is attached to the sleeping pad using elastic straps. The quilt remains in a fixed position, and you can turn inside it. The quilt can be used with any type of sleeping pad (inflatable or foam). Additionally, the quilt does not have a hood; you can replace it with a hat or a hooded down jacket/sweatshirt.
The Simple Quilt has a closed foot box at the bottom (54 cm in length). Therefore, it cannot be fully unzipped and used as a blanket, which distinguishes it from Liteway Sleeper Quilt. This makes the Simple Quilt a few grams lighter, and on colder nights, there is a lower risk of heat loss in the foot area. Of course, it also features a neck drawstring, and for even greater efficiency, the quilt is equipped with an insulation collar around the neck that minimizes heat loss.
Accessories
A mesh storage sack is included with the quilt for home storage so that the quilt is not unnecessarily compressed for long periods. This sack can also be used as a mosquito head net.
Two straps are supplied with the quilt for attachment to the sleeping pad.
Transport or compression sack is NOT included with the quilt. For 100% protection against water and moisture, as well as compression options, we recommend getting Sea To Summit eVac Compression Dry Bag UL of size 8 l or a classic waterproof bag Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag of size 8 l.
