Montane Anti-Freeze Mitt is a perfect companion for winter and freezing conditions. Both the outer and inner layers are made from recycled materials and have a water-repellent DWR treatment that's PFC/PFAS-free. The insulation fill consists of high-quality goose down with a fill power of 800 cuin and ExpeDRY technology to keep the down dry even in damp conditions. They're easy to pack away, and you can simply slip them on over thin or fleece gloves for extra warmth.

Anti-Freeze Mitt
Quilted down mittens Anti-Freeze Mitt are another product from Montane's successful winter line Anti-Freeze. It features high-quality down products that will keep you warm even in the coldest temperatures. Plus, all the products in this line are ultralight and easy to pack, and the same goes for the Anti-Freeze Mitt gloves. They weigh just 80 grams.
The gloves are made from lightweight recycled materials and are filled with high-quality goose down ExpeDRY with a fill power of 800+, which dries quickly and stays dry even in humid conditions. The water-repellent DWR treatment is applied not only to the outer material but also to the lining. Thanks to the absence of PFC/PFAS and Bluesign certification, the production of these gloves is friendlier to both the environment and the user. Both the outer and inner layers are very pleasant to the touch, breathable, and quick-drying, so they’ll keep your hands warm and dry.
Anatomically shaped cut of the gloves improves handling of items. Thanks to the quilted chamber construction of the gloves, the down filling doesn’t shift around, so the thermal insulation is evenly distributed along the entire length of your hand for a long time. The inner seams are flat, providing maximum comfort. There's a stretchy cuff around the wrist that prevents heat loss. At the same time, you can adjust the width of the gloves around your wrist with an elastic drawstring.
Anti-Freeze Mitt gloves can easily be pulled on over other thin or fleece gloves for added warmth, like over Protium Glove. You can use them as a base layer or as an outer layer in really freezing temperatures.

- Outer material – 100% recycled nylon ripstop PERTEX® QUANTUM 20D with DWR treatment free of harmful PFC/PFAS, Bluesign certified – extreme abrasion resistance and snagging, smooth surface for better water drainage.
- Handback fill and cuff – 25 g/pair goose down, 90/10, 800 cuin with ExpeDRY technology – better moisture wicking, keeps down dry even in wet conditions, with RDS certification and Track my Down.
- Palm fill, inner part of the fingers and thumb – lightweight and warm 100% recycled material 170 g/m2 PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation®, breathable, packable, and warm even when wet, Oeko-Tex and Bluesign certified.
- Lining – PEAQ: Lightweight recycled nylon fabric with DWR treatment, PFC/PFAS-free, abrasion resistance 20,000+ at 9k PA, Bluesign certification.
- Membrane – palm, inner part of the fingers and thumb – water-resistant, windproof non-porous hydrophilic membrane PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY 3L 100% nylon (recycled) 30D Ripstop with durable water-repellent treatment free of PFC/PFAS that's more environmentally friendly, waterproof rating 20 000 mm, excellent breathability (<7 RET), Oeko-Tex and Bluesign certification.
The ExpeDRY™ technology is an innovative feather treatment method from ALLIED with FUZE® technology, which replaces hydrophobic treatment without chemicals. Gold particles permanently bonded to the down speed up moisture evaporation, so the down dries quickly and stays dry even in tough conditions.
