Stretch hoodie made from Thermo Grid material with brushed fibers and a grid structure on the inside. It is extremely comfortable, provides good insulation against body heat, and simultaneously wicks away moisture. The Montane Protium Hoodie can be used throughout all seasons – either as an outer insulating layer in warmer weather, or as a mid layer in winter.

Protium Hoodie
Our next very popular piece from Montane's workshop. The Protium Hoodie has exactly the ideal weight of material (thickness) for use most of the year, making it an incredibly versatile companion not only in the mountains but also in the city.
The main reason why this hoodie caught our attention is the Thermo Grid material, which features brushed fibers with a grid structure on the inside. We have become incredibly fond of this material construction and consider it almost as a necessity for every hoodie for outdoor activities. The main reasons are: lower weight, comfort, good insulation properties, excellent moisture wicking, and breathability.
In the new Motane AW 2022 collection, the hoodie has two side pockets instead of one chest pocket. The pockets are really spacious and the zipper is quite long – you can access them even with the hip belt of the backpack fastened or while wearing a climbing harness.
What further excites us about this hoodie is its thoughtful fit. It moves with you and doesn't restrict you at all. The hood fits perfectly, and thanks to the higher collar, it prevents the wind from blowing on your neck. A higher proportion of elastane ensures that the hoodie is pleasantly stretchy.
Our size recommendation – height 185 cm and chest circumference 104 cm fit perfectly for size L.
