Protium Lite Hoodie
New addition to the Montane spring/summer 2023 collection. The Protium Lite Hoodie is a lightweight version of the popular mid-layer Protium Hoodie. In Montane's portfolio, it is also the successor to one of our most popular pieces from Montane – Allez Micro Hoodie. Unlike this hoodie, the Protium Lite is slightly warmer (but heavier) and doesn't have such a slim fit.
The hoodie has just the right fabric weight for the warmer spring to autumn season. In cooler weather, you can use it as a thermal shirt or for layering.
What further excites us about this hoodie is its thoughtful fit. It moves with you and doesn't restrict you at all. The hood fits perfectly, and thanks to the higher collar, it prevents the wind from blowing on your neck. A higher proportion of elastane ensures that the hoodie is pleasantly stretchy.
The main reason why this hoodie caught our attention is the Thermo Grid Lite material, which features brushed fibers with a grid structure on the inside. We have become incredibly fond of this material construction and consider it almost as a necessity for every hoodie for outdoor activities.
The hoodie has a fitted cut for active movement in the mountains, so if you have a more athletic muscular build, it might be better to choose a larger size. This hoodie is also available in a version without a hood – Protium Lite Pull-On, which is even a few grams lighter.
Thermo Grid Lite
Patented knitted construction with a mesh structure that increases warmth and breathability while reducing the weight and volume of the fabric.
The mesh structure creates targeted touch points for better moisture management. The surface close to the skin absorbs sweat vapor and channels it to the outer surface, where the moisture is dispersed for more effective evaporation. The mesh structure also creates open air channels for the discharge of excess body heat.
