Protium XT Hoodie
Protium XT Hoodie is a warmer version of the very popular hoodie Protium Hoodie from the Montane brand. It is an extremely comfortable mid-layer for all physical activities in the mountains in cooler conditions. However, it can also be used as an outer insulation layer in spring or autumn.
The quick-drying material Thermo Grid HL is characterized by a highly breathable brushed fiber with a double grid structure on the inside. At the same weight of the fabric, the Thermo Grid HL material is 28% warmer than the Thermo Grid material used in the Protium Hoodie. You'll love the Protium XT Hoodie not only for its pleasant touch material but also for its lightweight, excellent insulating properties, great moisture management, and breathability.
We also love the thoughtful fit of this hoodie. It moves with you and doesn't restrict you at all. The hood fits perfectly even under a climbing helmet, and the higher collar keeps the wind off your neck. The hoodie features two practical and spacious side zip pockets that can be accessed even while wearing a hip belt of a backpack or a climbing harness. The higher percentage of elastane ensures that the hoodie is pleasantly stretchy.
The hoodie has a fitted cut for active movement in the mountains, so if you have a more athletic muscular build, it might be better to choose a larger size.
This hoodie is also available as a sweatshirt without a hood – Protium XT Jacket,which is a few grams lighter.
