Specifications
QuickDraw is a mechanical microfiber water filter from the brand Platypus. The filter can simply be attached to standard PET water bottles or collapsible bottles from Platypus. The water filtration speed is up to 3 liters per minute.
To clean it, you simply shake the hollow fiber filter or perform backflushing without the need for any additional tools. The cleverly designed filter body and closures on both ends ensure that no water leaks from the filter into your backpack during transport.
Each filter is individually tested to ensure it meets all EPA and NSF guidelines for the removal of 99,9999% of bacteria and 99,9% of protozoa (this includes Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Salmonella, and cholera).
The filter's stated lifespan is 1000 liters. While this may seem low compared to competing filters, it is sufficient for several years of use in the field. To put it into perspective, try calculating how much water you actually filter during one hiking season.
The package now includes the ConnectCap™ adapter for attaching to narrow-mouth bottles (Platypus collapsible bottles or standard PET bottles with a 28 mm neck width). This ensures no water is lost during filtration and prevents accidental tipping of your clean water bottle while filtering.
