Ultralight lightweight three-season semi-freestanding tent for two people with two doors. The Alto TR2 tent will appeal primarily to those who require an extremely low weight but want a well-thought-out tent with plenty of features.

Specifications
The goal of Sea To Summit was not to bring the lightest tent to the market, but a tent that would excel in all aspects. The designers put great effort into the development; although Sea To Summit tents were developed over several years, we believe it was worth it.
The tent features a unique Tension Ridge construction (a pole that runs across the tent). This construction provides several advantages:
- more space in the interior in the shoulder and head area
- steeper walls ensure better water drainage during rain
- great ventilation and minimization of condensation inside
- more spacious vestibules
Alto TR2 is approximately 300 grams lighter than its brother Telos TR2, but on the contrary has a less spacious interior. The tent has two entrances and two vestibules for storing equipment. The tent has a semi-freestanding structure, meaning you need to stake out 2 corners (specifically the ones at the head) for the tent to achieve its full shape. All zippers have two sliders and are equipped with ergonomic pull tabs. The rainfly has zippers protected by a storm flap with Velcro.
Features and details
- Ultralight yet durable tent structure (pole) DAC NSL with color-coded components for easy and quick tent setup.
- Maximum durability and excellent waterproof properties thanks to premium materials including DAC poles, YKK zippers, aluminum components, and taped PEU seams.
- FairShare storage system: you can pack the tent into three bags (sacks) that can be fairly distributed among campers. You can use the individual bags inside the tent as pockets for storing gear, keeping everything you need within reach.
- Light pole: the tent pole sleeve also serves as a light diffuser. Just insert a headlamp into it and attach it inside the tent above your head.
- The rainfly can be set up first for convenient assembly in the rain.
- The package includes 10 Ground Control tent stakes and 4 removable guy lines.
- To prolong the lifespan of the tent floor, we recommend using a footprint Sea to Summit Alto - sold separately, or at least tyvek.
- The tent can fit one Sea To Summit mummy-shaped sleeping pad in size Large and one in size Regular (e.g, Ultralight Insulated).
Materials and construction
- The internal 15 cm raised floor with a "bathtub" is constructed from 15D nylon with a water column of 1200 mm.
- Very lightweight inner mesh made of 15D polyester ensures maximum ventilation. Its dark gray color provides excellent visibility.
- The rainfly made of 15D nylon with a waterproof coating of silicone/polyether polyurethane (PeU) ensures long-lasting waterproofing and durability.
- Tension Ridge System – provides significantly more living space.
- Apex Vent ventilation openings – at the highest point of the tent, there is a spacious vent that effectively expels warm air to prevent condensation. It can be easily closed with a zipper from inside the tent.
- Quick Connect Foot Clip – the aluminum clip in the corners of the rainfly easily attaches to the inner tent. It is sturdier than plastic buckles that can break.
