Steripen Ultra UV lamp
The Steripen Ultra UV lamp is an ultralight travel UV water filter that can purify one liter of water in just one cycle lasting 90 seconds. The UV radiation removes 99,9% of viruses, bacteria, and protozoa from the water by breaking down their DNA/RNA.
On a single charge, the UV lamp can handle up to 50 cycles of irradiation, meaning it can purify up to 50 liters of water. The internal Li-Ion battery charges via a micro USB cable that's included in the package.
The lifespan of the lamp is up to 8000 cycles.
In most cases, a mechanical filter is enough to clean the water, filtering out bacteria, sediment, and other larger impurities. However, a mechanical filter is not enough for viruses. Ultraviolet radiation can eliminate 99,9% of protozoa, bacteria, and viruses.

Filtering process
- One cycle of irradiation cleans a maximum of 1 liter of water.
- Turn on the UV lamp by pressing the button.
- If you want to sterilize just 0,5 liters of water, press the button 2x – it’ll shorten the sterilization time.
- Dip the stick in the water up to the electrodes.
- During the entire ozonation process, the electrodes must be submerged in water, otherwise the cleaning cycle will interrupt itself and you'll get a frowny face. ☹️
- If the water is murky / visibly dirty, make circular movements with the lamp so that the UV rays reach all the water molecules. Sediment and dirt can block the light throughout the volume of water.
- The display shows a countdown of 90 seconds.
- After successfully completing the cycle, you’ll get a smiling emoji. 🙂
