With the new generation of NeoAir NXT sleeping pads, a new rectangular version called Xlite Max also comes on the scene! The rectangular shape will be especially appreciated by those who toss and turn a lot at night and require maximum comfort. NeoAir XLite NXT MAX has a thickness of 7,6 cm, is quieter than its predecessor, and has a higher thermal resistance.

The sleeping pad utilizes triangular chamber technology that keeps warm air in place and the reflective ThermaCapture Matrix™ surface that reflects heat back to the user. The improved internal construction reduces noise by 83% compared to the previous model. Thicker – a profile thickness of 7.6 cm provides first-class comfort at nearly the same weight as the previous model.
Its thermal resistance value is R = 4,5, which is sufficient for year-round conditions except for extreme freezing. The parameters for Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads are now measured according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard. If another manufacturer also uses this metric, we can easily compare sleeping pads across different brands.
Ultralight, high-performance, and packable – top-notch construction and premium materials with low weight and good packability. The XLite NXT can be packed down to approximately the size of a standard one-liter water bottle. The sleeping pad is constructed from 30D rip HT Nylon material.

You will receive a small storage sack, a repair kit, and a pump sack with the sleeping pad!
With a pump sack, not only can you inflate your sleeping pad faster, but you also avoid unnecessarily introducing humid air from your lungs into it, which can lead to mold growth inside the pad over time.
The option of inflating using a pump sack is excellent in freezing conditions! When you inflate a sleeping pad with your own breath, you push warm air from your lungs into it. However, this warm air gradually cools down and decreases in volume. It may seem that the sleeping pad is leaking, and you might have to inflate it again during the night. The second advantage is that moisture does not accumulate in the sleeping pad, which could condense and subsequently freeze.
Below in the video, you can take a look at how such a pump sack is used.
If we had to point out something about the previous models of Therm-a-Rest inflatable sleeping pads, it would probably be the valve, which, although durable and fairly reliable, made inflating and deflating quite a bit of work.
However! With the new inflatable sleeping pads, this is no longer a concern. After more than 100 prototypes and 500 nights of field testing, the new valve called WingLock™ is finally here and is better in just about everything!
Compared to the previous model, you should be able to inflate your sleeping pad up to 3x faster. The valve is wider and one-way, so air won't escape while inflating. By turning the "wings" on the sides of the valve, you can easily and quickly deflate the pad. In case of damage, you can easily replace the valve.

The Regular Wide size is 183 cm long, 64 cm wide, and weighs 510 grams. When packed, it has a cylindrical shape with dimensions of 28 x 12 cm.
The Large size is 196 cm long, 64 cm wide, and weighs 553 grams. When packed, it has the shape of a cylinder with dimensions of 28 x 12 cm.
