RidgeRest® SOLite™
It is a great choice for those who want a sleeping pad for relatively little money and prefer long durability over packability. Its advantages are its durability and low weight. The sleeping pad has no parts that can be damaged in any way. Unlike inflatable sleeping pads, you do not need any footprint under this sleeping pad and you can comfortably sit by the campfire with it.
It is constructed from closed-cell foam polyethylene, which gives it one significant property – it does not absorb water. When folded, it has the shape of a cylinder measuring 51 x 20 cm. When laid out, it measures 183 x 51 cm and its thickness is 2 cm.
The sleeping pad has a reflective layer ThermaCapture™ on the top side, which reflects heat back to you and increases overall thermal performance by up to 15 %. The thermal resistance value of this sleeping pad is R = 2,1 and it is suitable for 3-season use. Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads are now measured according to the ASTM F3340-18 standard. Therefore, their R-values slightly differ in the new versions. At the same time, it is important to be cautious when comparing different brands.
