Thanks to the hood, stretchy quick-drying material, and certified UV protection UPF50+, it’s perfect for summer long-distance hikes and backpacking trips. It wicks sweat away like a champ and doesn’t restrict your movement, even on the toughest adventures.

Maya Hood Trek is designed for all travelers and adventurers who spend long hours on the move in the summer sun – whether you’re on a mountain hike, on a multi-day backpacking trek, or rafting on the water. It’s what you call a sun hoodie, so it’s a comfortable and functional long-sleeve shirt with a hood and reliable protection against sun exposure.
The front panel is made from a super lightweight and breathable material (76% nylon, 19% polyester, 5% elastane, 96 g/m²), which helps your body breathe and keeps you feeling fresh. The back section and pocket area, on the other hand, use a denser and more flexible fabric (90% polyester, 10% elastane, 150 g/m²), which wicks sweat better and moves with you nicely. This combination of materials allows for effective thermoregulation even during physically demanding activities.
The shirt is designed with backpacking in mind – with no unnecessary elements in the waist area, featuring a quick-drying structure and high resistance to mechanical wear and UV rays (UPF50+).
All these features make this base layer a perfect piece for long-distance treks in summer. The sun hoodie also proved itself on our hikes – David took it on a 9-day crossing in the Karavshin mountains of Kyrgyzstan last summer. What he appreciated most was the comfortable stretchy material and UV protection against the sun.
