Tyvek Groundsheet - 150 x 250 cm (for 2 people)
Tyvek Soft Antireflex by DuPont is a safety waterproofing membrane commonly used under roofing materials. However, in ultralight backpacking, it has gained significant popularity due to its impressive properties and low cost, making it a great choice for use as a groundsheet or material for simple DIY projects.
Lightweight and durable groundsheet for a low cost. Ideal under a sleeping pad for cowboy camping or in a tarp or tent without a footprint.
Large Tyvek
The 150 x 250 cm size is ideal for two people. It provides slight overhangs on both sides of the sleeping pads, allowing space for the backpacks at either the head or foot. Tyvek is functional on both sides, so it doesn’t matter which side faces up. It is breathable, and it stands out for its durability and lightweight properties. A minor downside is its bright white color, which can be quite noticeable, and the fact that most inflatable sleeping pads may slip on uneven terrain. This issue can be resolved with an anti-slip surface treatment.
