Description
The poles are advertised as the lightest aluminum trekking poles in the world. They are adjustable up to a length of 132 cm using the screw lock Flexy locking system. The handle is made of comfortable EVA foam with an adjustable strap that can be removed. At the end of the pole is a durable carbide tip. The manufacturer lists the weight of a single pole as 158 grams, but we measured 163 grams without the strap and 172 grams with the strap. The folded length of the pole is 59,5 cm.
We put these trekking poles to the test during a south-to-north hike across Iceland, where they proved invaluable for river crossings, maintaining pace, ascending and descending on loose terrain, and reinforcing tent structures in strong winds. Fizan Compact poles are simple, lightweight, and above all, reliable. Additionally, all parts are replaceable.
