Pyramid-shaped tents are known for their exceptional wind resistance. When properly anchored with stakes and secured with a trekking pole, the tent remains stable and highly resistant to strong winds. The steep walls also provide excellent rain protection, as water easily runs off without pooling. Pyramid tents are valued for their ultralight weight and simple setup.

The tent is designed for 4 people. However, it will also be appreciated by those who require more interior space, such as 2 people with a dog and larger backpacks. If you can manage with a smaller shelter or you count every gram, we suggest considering Pyraomm Duo Tarp or slightly more spacious Pyraomm Plus Tarp.

The Liteway Pyraomm Max Tarp is extremely easy to pitch. Simply anchor the four corners and connect 2 trekking poles together using a tension strap (not included) at a height of about 185 cm, and support the top in the center of the tent. After that, you can adjust and tension the guy lines as needed. Alternatively, you can set up the tent on trekking poles with A-frame adapter, which eliminates the need for a trekking pole in the center of the tent.

Warning, the seams are not taped! Since the tent is made from siliconized polyester, it cannot be sealed with standard polyurethane seam tape used in most tents (it won’t adhere to a silicone-treated surface). Instead, you must seal the seams manually before use. This can be done using Gear Aid Seam Grip +Sil 28g or by creating a DIY seam sealant using sanitary silicone mixed with white spirit (in a ratio of approximately 1:2, with a consistency similar to oil).

Tent stakes are not included in the package. You will need at least 4 stakes for setup, but it is better to be equipped with at least 8 stakes. A strap is ideal for connecting trekking poles (STS Stretch-Loc TPU Straps (2 pcs) - 12 mm x 300 mm).

For maximum protection from insects and adverse weather, we recommend adding an inner mosquito (mesh) net Pyraomm Max Full Mesh. You will create a fully functional double-wall tent with a remarkably low weight.

The manufacturer has chosen polyester instead of the more commonly used nylon (polyamide) found in most ultralight tents. The reason is that polyester does not sag as much when wet and absorbs less water, allowing it to dry faster.
